"Ma'am, you need to jump, right now!" Gwen shouts loudly as the woman frantically glances all around her, coughing as her voice shudders. "I-I can't!" She responds, stepping back from the crumbling edge which leads to the burning abyss. As the beeps become louder and faster, Gwen knows she barely has any time left.

In a last attempt, she lands on the wall next to the woman, grabbing her as she shields her from the bomb. Gwen jumps off of the wall with all of her strength, leaving some space between them and the bomb as she grasps onto the person tightly. She knows they'll get hit, but at least Gwen can take some of the explosion on her body.

As the bomb goes off, it destroys the floor of the building, causing it to crumble and crash down into the other floors. The orange and brown colors of the explosion fill the building as it lights up the area. Gwen is blasted through the air, the force of the exlosion propelling her farther than she initially thought it would. She lands on top of a cop car, causing a large dent it in as she rolls off of it.

She tightly holds onto the larger person in her arms, closing her eyes shut as they land on the ground. The firefighters rush to the scene as they attempt to restrain the burning building, spraying a large water hose as the many floors seemed to have supported a few of the destroyed ones. A large ringing noise pierces through her ears.

The woman on the ground opens her eyes, still covered in soot and ash as Gwen slowly lets go of her. "Thank you.." She mutters under her breathe, watching Gwen as she coughs. Gwen waves her hand. "I-It's no problem, ma'am-" She glances up, her eyes widening as she recognizes the person.

Gwen stands up quickly, despite the pain and ringing in her ears. Her suit destroyed in some places and covered with ash. "I-I mean.. yes, ma'am." She coughs, realizing its my mother. Gwen stumbles slightly, trying to walk past her as my mom puts a hand on her shoulder.

"Hold on, at least let me make you're okay.." She inspects Gwen's wounds as the police on the cop cars still struggle against the webbing. "Let.. me. out of here!" Captain Stacy's voice is muffled through the web as she spots Spiderwoman, vulnerable and injured and.. ready to be arrested. "She's dangerous! Do not touch the suspect!" He shouts muffled words at my mom, who proceeds to ignore him.

She places her hands on Gwen's shoulders, feeling around the cuts and wounds. My mom coughs loudly, taking a breathe before proceeding to check up on her. "Wait, you're.. you're just a kid.." She mutters under her breathe as Gwen turns to look at her. Her blue glistening eyes are revealed slightly through a broken part of her eyepiece as she stares back at the woman.

Gwen glances around, her spidersense not tingling and meaning that the flying weirdo had escaped. She stands up properly with my mom's help. "Thank you." Gwen says with a soft voice, her eyes glancing down. "No, I should be thanking you. You saved me.."

My mom nods firmly, giving her a warm smile, one that Gwen thought she'd never see. "Huh.. Taking a hit like that and still coming out looking almost unscathed.. you must be something special."

My mom's voice shudders a little, smiling slightly as she notices a large cut on her left forearm arm from the flying debris and glass that Gwen didn't even notice before. She gestures for Gwen to lean against a tree nearby as she kneels down. The cut bleeds through Gwen's skin as my mom applies pressure to it. "I.. have a daughter.. and I can tell she's exactly like you. Strong, selfless, and kind."

She says with a reassuring smile as Gwen's eyes water slightly. "You.. you really think so?" Gwen's voice trembles just a little, but my mom notices her struggling despite this. She nods to Gwen, still applying pressure to her arm.
