Charys watched his master laughing loudly. It wasn't cute at all. It definitely wasn't. There was no way that it was cute.

"Charys, I want some cookies."

Yup, it was not cute at all. Even if he changed his appearance, Veldora was still as arrogant as ever.

Charys sighed deeply and resigned to his fate. He left that uncontrollable master of his and went to look for cookies.

He was really unlucky. Upon his return, his master's friends tagged along. Thus, Charys had to go back and get more cookies. Enough cookies and more dessert for everyone. But also enough so that he won't be scolded later.

"Why did you last so long? I was bored waiting!"

Unsurprisingly, Veldora complained about Charys being late. Moreover, he didn't look that bored, the advancement of the book he was reading was proof of it. Speaking of which, wasn't that book impossible to get? Almost every copy of that author's book disappeared a while ago, without any copy nor hint of the culprit left. Many suspected a complot against the monster country and them having a kinder image, but Charys suspected that maybe Rimuru-sama was responsible for every book of "The Monster Princess" disappearance.

Anyway, it was not his problem if Veldora-sama got scolded again by Rimuru-sama.

Charys put the desserts on the table.

"Master, master! Why do you look like that?" Ramiris flew around Veldora, surprised by his new appearance.

"Kwahahahaha! Well noticed, Ramiris. Don't I look cuter?" Veldora exclaimed, as boisterous as ever.

"Hahaha, you only look smaller, Veldora" Dino looked weirdly awake right now.

"You also look younger," Ramiris said, trying to get the correct answer.

"So?" Dino urged Veldora for an answer.

"Listen. I learned something valuable in the recent days. Rimuru scolds us whenever we make some trouble, doesn't he?" (Veldora)

"Yes, he gets so boring sometimes" (Ramiris)

"He gets noisy and then he punishes us. It's horrible. It was still better than Guy's treatment until a few months ago"

Dino shivered at the thought. A few months ago, Ultima learned a new way to concoct a potion and she dared to call that food. Moreover, Rimuru learned the way to make that poison and somehow, improved it. Or make it worse? Since then, the troublemakers were made the guinea pigs of Rimuru's new hobby.

Returning to the matter at hand.

"That's right. Not only does Rimuru nag us a lot but also makes us suffer." Veldora shed a crocodile tear. If he really wished, he could resist and Rimuru would stop, but deep inside Veldora knew when he was at fault.

"Then, I got this knowledge. With this shape of mine, would you dare to make this adorable me suffer?" Veldora declared as a matter of fact.

"Making fun of something smaller than me is entertaining. When I was alone, the kids who came to mess with my labyrinth would be lost everywhere." (Ramiris)

"Why should your appearance be a condition of getting scolded?" (Dino)

"But, doesn't Milim get less punishment than us?" (Veldora)

"Isn't that because Rimuru sells her yo Frey-chan?" (Ramiris)

"An angry Frey is scary. And it's worse if Obera is with her" (Dino)

"That's right. It doesn't have to do with her childish appearance" (Ramiris)

"Wha- I was sure that Rumuru was lenient to her because of that." (Veldora)
