Aubrey walked back into the room to not see Matt anywhere. "Matt?" She yelled into the empty space.
"Sorry." Matt said as he walked out of the bathroom, adjusting the waistband of his pjs. "You were gone for so long I couldn't stay on my knee." He laughed and she smiled.
"I wasn't even gone for a minute." She laughed and walked over to her bed, checking her phone.
"Oh yeah it was Nick and Chris by the way. Pulling the trick on us." She said casually, not looking up from her phone.
"Sounds like something they would do." He said, standing next to Aubrey's bed awkwardly, swinging his hands around to distract himself.
Aubrey then realised that he was waiting for her and immediately put her phone down to look at him.
She smiled and he smiled back, his cute smile shining at her. He then sat next to her, and looked straight into her eyes admiringly.
"Will you- uh- be my girlfriend Aubrey?" He stammered out.
She answered him by pressing her lips against his. He sat there for a moment, shocked, before leaning further into the kiss.
They both felt comfortable in that moment, falling deeper and deeper into the calm silence.
After a moment, they pulled apart, and Matt just pulled her into a long, meaningful hug by her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck and played with his fluffy hair with her delicate hand.
Although they had been interrupted, the moment was perfect.
Pov Change!
"How are you feeling now Nick?" Chris asked as he unlocked their hotel room door, stumbling inside.
"A lot better actually. Thanks Chris." He smiled at him, before suddenly remembering Chloe and their fight.
"But you are still upset. Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, sitting down on his bed as Nick sat down on his own.
"I do, but some parts I have been sworn to secrecy.." Nick dragged on. "That's okay. Just tell me the parts that you can." He said comfortingly.
So Nick told him.
"Wait so Chloe doesn't like Hailey, and then you accidentally told Chloe that Hailey likes her after you slapped her?" Chris questioned, trying to understand.
"Yep." He said before sighing. "Chris, I really fucked up and now I don't know how to tell Hailey!" He said, burying his head in his pillow like before.
"Then don't tell Hailey." He said simply, looking at him. "But she's my best friend Chris." He said, looking at him with an unexplainable expression.
"Well I wouldn't tell her." He said, dumfounded. "And this is why I never come to you with my problems." Nick said before sitting up and checking his phone.
"Oh shit." Nick said to himself, rushing to check his phone for the time. "Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit." Nick said, picking up is phone and unlocking it.
The time read 11pm.
He told Vanessa that he would talk to her tonight. She would still be awake right? He wondered, looking through his phone for her Insta.
He found it and started texting.
"Who are you texting?" Chris asked, peaking over at his phone. "Wait, is that Vanessa? The fan that was waitressing us at the restaurant?" He asked, starting to blush.
He hadn't forgotten about her since the moment he laid eyes on her. She was so beautiful and kind, her eyes like keys to his heart.
He recalled the memory before being interrupted by Nick's groaning voice. "Yeah, it's your lover girl." He winked at him teasingly, before returning his attention to his phone.

The conversation continued like this for about half an hour before they said their goodbyes. They had a good time laughing and talking and sharing memes that made the other person laugh.
Nick smiled over at Chris, who was rolled over on his side, looking out of the window.
He looked slightly sad, but mostly bored. "You might want to text her." He said simply, which made Chris roll over and look at him. He smiled and picked up his phone.
Nick decided to go to bed because it was getting close to midnight and he was surprisingly tired. Must have been a big day.
Chris was up texting for hours, laughing and occasionally just smiling at his phone. Nick knew that he was talking to Vanessa and that she made him happy..and that made him happy.
He smiled as he drifted off to sleep.
Pov Change!
Matt hopped into his bed and moved around for a minute to get comfortable.
"Can't get comfortable?" Aubrey asked sleepily from her bed, after being awoken by Matt's movement.
"Sorry babe." He said sweetly, but continued to adjust for another couple seconds.
"C'mere." Aubrey said, moving over and pulling up the sheets welcomingly. Her eyes were still half closed but she was smiling anyway.
Matt got out of his bed and waddled over. "Are you sure there is going to be enough room?" He asked, getting into her bed.
"We'll make it work." She said, throwing the blankets over Matt's warm body, pressed up against hers. The bed was a king single so with the two of them, there was no way that they wouldn't be touching.
Matt took advantage of this and grabbed her waist, pulling her close, cuddling into her. She put her arms around him, smiling at him, closing her eyes again.
She felt him staring at her for a couple more seconds, before he closed his eyes himself, snuggled closely into Aubrey.
"Got enough room?" She asked teasingly and he smiled. They fell asleep with their foreheads touching, cuddled close.
This was secretly Matt's plan all along.
