Everyone rushed over to the edge of the road, whilst Nick stumbled around, looking far down the road as to where it must have rolled in the storm.

But there was no sight of it.

"How are we going to get to the hospital?" Chris said, strangely strong unlike the bloody scab on the back of his head.

"I don't know." Nick said, starting to wonder along the road.

"We could call an ambulance?" Vanessa suggested, and everyone agreed.

"Hold on. Let's have a quick wander along the road to see if we can find it." Nick said.

"The wind and rain was mostly blowing that way so if it to have rolled, it must have rolled down that way." Aiden said, pointing down one end of the road.

"Then let's go." Lucas said impatiently to which everyone ignored him.

They had been walking down the road for about 10 minutes, and everyone were in their own little conversations.

Chris and Vanessa, Matt and Aubrey, Hailey and Chloe and Lucas (Hailey surprisingly hadn't ripped Lucas's throat out yet), and Aiden and Nick.

"How do you know all that stuff?" Nick asked.

"What stuff?" Aiden was confused, and awaited the answer.

"About the tornado. You took charge and we are still alive. You knew exactly what to do. Also you knew which direction we should start walking to look for the car."

"Oh that. I don't know really. The car thing just made sense in my head, for all we know we are walking on the opposite direction we should be walking in."

They both had a little laugh and Nick admired Aiden as he tucked a curly strand of brown hair behind his ear to get it out of his face. He looked so handsome with wet hair, a little dirt smudged on his face with his cute smile.

Aiden then realised that Nick was looking at him with admiration and smiled.

It was crazy that they had only known each other for a couple days.

They then realised that they had been stopped along the road, and all the others were way ahead of them.

"Oh, uh, we should probably keep walking." Nick said, looking away from the beauty before him.

Aiden cleared his throat, thinking about Nick's ice blue eyes, clear skin, full lips. What was this feeling? He felt his chest fill with butterflies and his cheeks growing hot.

This can't be love. What would everyone think if I liked a boy? I can't be gay.

Aiden shuck out the picture of Nick I'm his mind, that last thought making it disappear completely.

He looked up, realising that he hadn't started walking yet, and Nick was standing a couple metres ahead, looking back at him.

"You coming?" Nick asked.

"Yeah." Aiden said, covering up the cold feeling left in his heart.

I can't like Nick. It's not meant to be like that. I'm not gay. I'm not gay. I'm not gay.

The thought repeated in his mind, over and over and over. His back straightened in uncomfortableness. Nick sensed his feeling.

"Are you okay-"

"I'm not gay." Aiden covered his mouth immediately as his thought had been repeating that instead of replying to Nick's question, he blurted it out.

"Uh, what?" Nick asked, confused. Aiden was acting like he was forced to say it, which made him ten times more confused.

"Sorry. I'm alright." Aiden said, sighing deeply, looking at the ground, not making eye contact with Nick.

"It's fine." Nick said with a small smile, although he felt a little sad inside.

Had he been reading all the signs wrong? Was Aiden actually not into him at all? Was he a fool for thinking someone like him could find love again?

Have a great day / night ❤️❤️❤️
