Hailey was laying on her bed, when Chloe walked out of their bathroom, looking happy. "Did you know that we have a spa bath, in our bathroom!?" Chloe asked Hailey.
"Really?" Hailey asked, not really thinking about what she had said as she gazed out of the roof-to-floor window.
Their rooms were on the 69th floor, so they had a beautiful view of the city below them.
"What's on your mind?" Chloe asked, because Hailey seemed distracted.
"Uh, nothing. Wanna see if we can meet up with the group?" Hailey asked, still looking out of the window. "Sure, later. But how about you tell me what's going on first." Chloe said, inching towards Hailey with a smile on her face.
Hailey then turned to her, a smile spreading on her face. Chloe sat down on Hailey's bed, right next to her, their arms were touching.
Hailey's stomach swarmed with butterflies as she blushed as red a tomato when Chloe took her hand in hers. Chloe just giggled and just asked again: "What is wrong? You seem distracted."
Hailey just looked at her, very focused on the holding hands. Chloe noticed she wasn't looking at her, so with delicate hands, she pulled Hailey's chin up to face her.
Hailey stared deep into Chloe's eyes, inching closer by the second. Chloe wasn't moving away, which was a good sign.
"My brother.." Hailey breathed. "He's not talking to me." She sighed sadly, breaking the romantic eye contact.
"Why is that? I know he loves you a lot." Chloe asked sympathetically. "That's the thing..." Hailey breathed.
"It's embarrassing." She said. "You can tell me, I promise I won't judge you." She said, comfortingly squeezing her hand tighter.
"I'm lesbian." Hailey said quietly, looking down at her hands. "Oh really? I fully support it Hailey. You aren't alone in this." Chloe said comfortingly.
"I know that you already knew. But he didn't. And I thought that we were so close that I could tell him without any worries but he reacted really badly." Hailey whimpered, starting to cry.
"It's alright Hailey. Breathe. He's your brother. Maybe he just needs some time to process it." Chloe said, rubbing Hailey's knuckles.
Hailey looked up at her, with a tear stained face, and smiled. It was a beautiful smile. A different smile. A happy smile. "She's beautiful." Chloe thought in her head, but her thoughts were interrupted by a phone ringing.
Hailey jumped at the sudden noise and they both started laughing at her reaction. "It's mine." Chloe said, taking it out of her pocket. "It's Nick. I'll be right back." Chloe said, hopping up from the bed.
She stepped out for a minute before returning back into the room. "Nick asked if we want to meet up. I told him that I'll see how you are feeling first. Are you up for it?" She asked soothingly.
"Not right now, sorry. But you can obviously go if you want to." Hailey said, assuring her that it's fine.
"No, I want to comfort you right now. I'm not going anywhere without you." Chloe said with a wink. Then she layed down next to Hailey and snuggled into her, giving her a nice, warm cuddle.
Love is in the air!! Matt and Aubrey, now Chloe and Hailey? The tension is real.
