SOPHIE

Telepathy training was easy enough. just some mental exercises and telepathic conversations with Fitz.

How's Keefe? Fitz asked.

Fitz has slowly gotten over Sophie ever since she confessed about her and Keefe. Still, he seemed a bit hurt about it. Nowadays he starts to see Sophie as a sister instead of an ex-girlfriend.

He's fine. Still seems to like the Grove still. I don't see the comfort of sleeping near bugs though. Grady's still eyeing him suspiciously, as if he's going to suddenly wake up and join the Neverseen. He seems to enjoy Percy too.

Can't imagine how it would be like if Percy and Keefe grew up together.

Chaos probably. Sophie shuddered

And Percy might've persuaded Keefe to join the Neverseen.

The conversation ended right there. Even though two seemed to have already gotten over it, it was still a sensitive topic.

"Alright, session over." Tiergan cut through.

Fitz and Sophie got up, said their thanks to Tiergan then went off.

"I just forgot." Sophie let out a small gasp.

"What?"

"The newcomers." Sophie answered. She raced down the stairs and made her way to the fields were she forgot about them. They seemed to have left. She scanned the lunch hall and found a crowd of elves surrounding a circle. Two people were in the centre. One had green eyes and black hair, the other had...

Percy and Annabeth

Sophie raced through the crowds and saw Magnate Leto talking to them and walking off, with Percy and Annabeth following.

"Wait up!" Fitz said somewhere through the crowd. Sophie looked back, scanning the crowd for him but just saw a sea of heads.

She waited until the crowd settled down as each elf held up their own home crystal and light leaped back home.

"Fitz?" She called out. She soon saw Fitz racing up to her. Ugh, she was being so forgetful! What happened?

"I saw the rest wandering around. Keefe was with them."

Sophie let out a small sigh of relief, then a groan. Heavens know what Keefe is doing with them. All she could do was pray nothing bad happened.

She realized that the both of them were standing in the center of an empty lunch hall.

"Lets got to somewhere else, anyone could eavesdrop on us." Sophie said, heading to the first floor of the Foxfire pyramid.

"Who's going to even care? It's nothing important." Fitz argued.

"Nobody thought the Neverseen were important," Sophie countered back.

"Matchmaking isn't important."

"Strange, coming from a guy who thought our relationship depended on matchmaking." Sophie mused, then raised an eyebrow, turning her back on the stairs. She immediately regretted that as she tumbled down the stairs, bruising her backside on the way.

"Healing Center visit number... what number now?" Keefe looked at Elwin as he gave Sophie some achey-break and some bottles of youth.

Right after tumbling down the stairs, Sophie promptly passing out as soon as she landed. She had no idea how she got to the Healing Center blacked out. She did have some vague memory of someone carrying her, but didn't want to know who.
