Chapter 6

Chapter : 6 -
Samuel/Lilith

Lilith's p o v :

I'm walking out of the mall after buying a gift for Mia.  Tomorrow's her b'day and she's throwing a party with few people. I bought her something memorable but affordable since I can't spend alot of money on things.

I carefully open the front door and look around to see if mum's home and when I see no one, I dash inside heading straight to my room and locking it behind me. I place the gift on the small desk of my room carefully and drop myself on the bed.

I close my eyes to relax for a bit. And sleep engulfs me.

I wake up to loud knocks on my room door. I squint my eyes as I sit up. "One minute!" I shout and check the time, its 10 AM, goddamn how long has it been since I slept like this. I get up and open the door. I squeal so loud like a kid excited to get a barbie and run to my dad and hug him so tight I'm afraid he can't breathe.

But my excitement to see him wins over it.

"I missed you so much." I cry out.

"I know,darling. I missed you too." he says.

"How are you here anyway? You said your boss isn't letting you take leave." I ask as I pull back from the hug.

"I have some inportant work here at California. Which if I finish I can stay for extra 2 days." he says.

I squeal again like a kid and jump around. "That is so good, dad." I say and smile so wide,my entire face hurts.

"We can spend so much time together!!" I add as I continue hopping around.

"But we can't spend time together today.  If I finish the work I have today we can spend the other 2 days together. Is that okay, sweetheart?" he asks.

"Ofcourse thats okay. We have 2 days anyways and I'm busy too,only for today though. It is Mia's birthday so I'm going to her home." I answer. "That's great,sweetheart. How is Mia?"

"She's good, dad"

After that dad went to his room to freshen up and go finish his work.
I went to my room, brushed my teeth, bathed and wore a baggy tee and shorts and came outside to find dad ready to leave.

"Bye,dad. Drive safe." I say and hug him. He kisses my forehead and nods. "Bye, darling. Take care." and I go eat breakfast.

Samuel's p o v :

I'm munching on pancakes while thinking of what to wear to Cedric's sister's b'day. I could just tuck in a white button down shirt with black pants. Yep sounds good. I turn around when I hear dad clearing his throat behind me. "Uh- I'll see you later in the evening,son." He stutters. "I'm actually going out dad I won't be back before 10." I say casually. He sighs and just walks away- uh what? Anyways.

So I made a self portrait of Cedric's sis for her b'day and a book 'the daughter of the moon goddess' by Sue Lynn Tan. I don't know if she'll like it but it is a beautiful book not only is the cover but also the storyline,writing everything is a chef's kiss. I was thinking of giving her 2 paintings, a self portrait and nature. I've seen her she's a sucker for nature, she got a camera just for taking pictures of nature.

The nature one is not done yet, I was only able to finish half of it. I have to try and see if I can finish it before 6.

It's 5 now and I finished the painting. I have to let it dry and then pack it. I go to my walk-in closet and take the outfit I'm gonna wear and lay it out on the bed. I enter the bathroom and strip, disposing my clothes in the laundry basket. I step inside the shower and turn it on.

The hot water soothing my muscles after painting for so long. After that I wrap a towel around my torso and dry my face with a soft face cloth and wash my face with a cleanser and s
Apply mosturiser and sunscreen. Then go out of the bathroom and dry myself, wear the outfit and start packing the gift.
