Lilith's p o v :

Elliot and I went to sleep in his bedroom last night, tangled together. It felt safe and peaceful in his arms, like i was complete. He slept as soon as we lied down but I couldn't. I was sleepy but having Elliot beside me,  I couldn't help but stare at his beautiful face. His eyelids closed covering his hazel brown orbs, long lashes, a mole near his eyes I never noticed. He looked so relaxed. I went to sleep while i was admiring him.

I woke up with a smile on my face but it quickly disappeared when i noticed that Elliot wasn't by my side. I head downstairs to ask Aunt Abigail. "Good morning, darling." Aunt Abigail smiles at me. "Morning, Aunt. Where's Elliot?" I questioned, not being able to plaster on a smile as uneasiness gnawed inside me.

"He isn't upstairs?" I shook my head. "No, Aunt. He isn't. I thought you'd know if he left." I began to worry. Where did Elliot go? When did he go that even Aunt doesn't know he left?

"Don't worry, dear. I'll ask the guards. Stay here." After a few minutes, she comes back. "It seems that Elliot left at 4 AM. There's nothing to worry about, dear. He leaves like that sometimes." But I can't seem to brush off this uneasiness and worry.

"Come eat breakfast. I've made pancakes." Aunt calls out. "I don't feel too good. I'll eat later." I manage to give Aunt a quick small smile and go upstairs. I enter Elliot's room and stare at the messy bed.

I can just call or text him. Yeah, easy. I get my phone and dial his number.

"Hey, Elliot?"

"Hello, Ma'am. May I know who this is?" A female voice questioned. My heart dropped. Why was a girl having Elliot's phone?

"This is Lilith. Elliot's-"

"Oh Lilith! It's you. You're saved as tesoro so I didn't know that it was you."

"May I know where Elliot is and what you're doing with his phone?" I hate how insecure and pathetic I sound.

"I'm Cleopatra, Elliot's friend's wife. I'm afraid I can't tell you where he is." My heart feels a tad bit better after finding out that she's just a friend.

"Oh, that's okay i guess. Thank you for letting me know, Cleopatra."

"You can call me Cleo. Elliot's like my brother and he is head over heels for you so that makes us besties." A small smile plays on my lips.

"Sure, Cleo."

"We should meet sometime. It must be boring in that huge mansion. How about today? I'll come pick you up."

"I'd love that."

"Great!! I'm excited. See ya soon, be ready." She hung up.

Elliot won't mind me going, right? I mean I am going with his friend's wife and it'll be nice to go out instead of staying inside this boring mansion. I go to my room and grab a blue floral frock that almost touches my ankles with long bell sleeves. I apply some blush and lip tint and curl my hair. I grab one of the handbags kept in the walk-in closet.

My phone rings, an unknown caller ID displayed on the screen. I pick it up.

"Hey Lili! I'm here."

"Hey Cleo, be right there!"

I inform Aunt Abigail where I'm going and head out. A red Ferrari 296 GTB and a gorgeous woman sitting inside with the windows rolled down. My jaw is on the floor. This car is a feral beauty. Cleo hops out and comes up to me for a hug. I hug her back.

"Lilith, Ohmygod. You look beautiful!!!" I look at her. She's wearing a black fitted dress with short sleeves. Her beautiful, long black hair adorned with two cute pink bows on each side.
