2 days later, Friday, one week before the next qualifying.

I wake up a little later than I'd hoped, which leaves me no time to train for today, so I decide to just make myself some breakfast and get ready for the day. As I start toasting my bread my phone goes off.

Perceval:
Hey, did you want to go out on the boat? I need to check it's alright and stuff and wondered if you wanted to come with me?

Maevey:
Sure, so long as I don't get pushed in the sea...

Perceval:
No promises 🤷‍♂️

As Charles says that I put on a bikini underneath a white top and some blue denim shorts, along with some flip-flops. I grab my bag and a few other things and put some makeup on. In the lobby I wait a couple of minutes talking to the receptionist who had always been nice to me since I bought the apartment, then Charles arrives.

"Hey Maeve." Charles greets me.

"Hey, shall we go see this boat then?" I prompt him, whilst he opens the lobby door for me.

"So, how far away is it? Can't be very far away, considering how small Monaco is." I ask.

"Yeah, it's literally just at the harbour, not very far at all." He replies, driving out of the car park.

We drive through the lovely streets of Monaco and get to the harbour in no time, making the car come to a stop.

"So, where's the boat?" I ask, trying not to sound impatient but I really want to see it.

"Not too far, why? You excited?" He asks, whilst I nod and he laughs a little.

Before I know it we are at the boat, it's a lovely boat, Charles takes my hand to help me get on the boat, and he begins steering the boat out of the harbour into the sea.

"It's so quiet out here, unlike in the city." I comment.

"Yeah, I like it out here, no cameras, no people just, the sea and the boat, and you obviously." He adds.

"Do you come out here often when your in Monaco?" I ask.

"Well, less than I'd like, considering training and such." He responds steering the boat slightly further out to sea before pulling it to a stop.

"The sea looks so pretty." I comment and he walks over to the edge of the boat.

"Look! Come here, there's some fish in the sea!" He says with urgency and points in the water.

As I walk over to where he's stood he pushes me in the sea.

"Charles Marc Herve Perceval Leclerc!!!!!!" I shout once I get back up to the top of the water, whilst he laughs.

He didn't move away from the edge of the boat so I pull at his leg and he falls in too.

"Touche." He adds, still laughing.

I decide that pulling him into the sea wasn't enough revenge for him pushing me in the sea, so I splash him with water in the face.

"Hey!" He shouts at me, I laugh, and then he splashes water in my face.

We fall into a back and forth of splashing each other with water and laughing at each other. Suddenly, Charles jumps slightly while floating in the water.

"See, I wasn't joking, there are fish!!" He shouts, implying that a fish had just swam up against his leg.

I float on my back stopping the water fight between me and Charles and I just sit and relax, for the first time in ages, my mind feels well, clear. I don't have much to worry about and there is no rush for me to get anywhere, and then Charles makes an offer.
