I hear a chair scuffle and I quickly make my way to the door, he then jogs to catch up to me. As I open the door, I feel his grip in my hand.

"You can't say that and leave." He says lowly, and I look at him in the eyes. "Take your hand off the door handle." He says, looking at my hand and I take it off the door handle.

"I didn't mean to fall for you- like your my teammate and." I stop, realising I'll start rambling as I look down at the floor.

"And neither did I" I feel his gaze on me as he says that.

"...Fucking pardon?" I look up at him, his hand grips tighter on mine, realising what he's just said.

"I didn't mean to fall for you either." He confirms. Looking directly at me, while I look at him, his eyes glowing and his face lighting up.

We look at each other making eye-contact for an endless amount of time, our hearts throbbing with adrenaline and our chests rising and falling, breathing sharply and loudly at each other, from what we've both just admitted to each other. My stomach releases fireworks and his hand moves to underneath my chin, making me look up at him. He looks in between my eyes and my lips, I lean into him, our noses touch, his breath fans my face. He pushes his lips on mine, I slide my hand slowly through his hair then pull his face closer to me.

Our lips part and I moan when his lips trace down my neck placing kisses all down my neck and collarbone. I tilt my head back, and he takes advantage of that, only placing my kisses down my neck and I wonder if he actually likes me.

"Charles are you sure-" I start, his face retracts from mine, and he then pulls me closer by the top I'm wearing.

"Shut up and kiss me." He says lowly under his breath, then pushing his lips on mine again.

I kiss him back, desperately wanting more his lips soft and he kisses me passionately desperately wanting more like he's missed it. He pulls away from me, so our foreheads are touching, our arms still wrapped around each other and we breathe heavily onto one another, his chest rises and falls, it relaxes me.

"We'd better get back to the pancakes..." He starts, placing a small kiss on my forehead.

I laugh lightly and we pull away from each other and I cook another two pancakes for myself while he continues to eat his. I put some sugar and lemon on my pancakes and we both eat our pancakes in a comfortable silence, Charles glances up at me every so often with a warm smile on his face. I glance up at him, looking at each other at the same time, he maintains the eye contact.

"Whats up?" I ask, sounding slightly sympathetic.

"These pancakes really are peace pancakes." He points out, trying to avoid my question.

"You avoided my question." I point out to him, he continues to look at me.

"Can we go out somewhere, together, when we get to Spain? I know a place." He asks, his face going a pretty shade of red.

"Like, a date?" I question him, my own cheeks warming up now at the suggestion.

"Yeah, sure." He nervously chuckles under his breath, with his perfect accent.

My heart skips a beat at the look he's giving me, clearly a little nervous about this, but this time, it feels right. Not that there was a last time. My negative thoughts of whether there was a last time start to get the better of me, and I start to wonder if it was just me who had feelings.

"Did- did you have feelings for me, you know, like- before?" I stutter trying to get my words out, but it all falls to pieces, I look down at the floor and put my palm to my face. "You know what- don't answer-" I try to recover from my messed up words.

"Of course I did, amore." He says, picking my face up with his hands, cupping my cheeks with his hands.

I melt into his touch which sends fire through my cheeks but shivers down my body.

"I'd best get back, I need to pack, and call Rosa, she said she's planning to come back to surprise Daniel." I say to him, while he lets go of my cheeks.

"Rosa and Daniel then huh?" He looks at me with a queried look.

"Possibly, I mean he clearly really liked her, but Rosa has always been hard to read, being the introvert she is. And did you see the post? George and someone too." I point out to him, he starts chuckling with all the gossip I have.

"You should run a gossip account at this point, you'd be great at it." He laughs, while I nudge his side and stand up, only making him laugh more.

"I'm not going to run a gossip account, my gossip isn't for everyone to know." I smirk at him, implying he doesn't know everything.

"Well of course not." He says, smirking back at me, not knowing what he's implying.

We both walk to the door and he opens it but before letting me go, he grabs hold of my wrist, I look back at him confused and he pulls me closer to him, quietly shutting the door behind me. He pins me to the door, unintentionally.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He places a kiss on my forehead.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Charles." I wrap my arms around his neck, and he wraps his around my waist, I don't want to let him go.

I turn to open the door behind me and I open it, his hand slowly slips out of mine, like a dramatic last goodbye, but we both know it's not. As I walk down the hallway, I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders just to get to my apartment the next room down the hallway. I get back to my apartment and call Rosa.

Calling Rosa...

"Hey, sorry, I am a little busy writing at the moment, being an author isn't the easiest of times at the moment. So many good authors to contend with..." Rosa starts.
"That's fine, coming to the next grand prix? Kinda a shame you missed this one, was Daniel's home grand prix." I try to persuade her.
"Mae, I can't make these promises, and I did tell Daniel I wouldn't be coming this weekend, work is insane and I am so stressed and I can't think of anything and I have no ideas and-" Rosa starts rambling and panicking.
"Rosa..." I say while she starts shedding tears over the phone.
"Sorry, I don't mean to spill this all on you." She clears up the tears on her cheeks, sniffling.
"It's alright, maybe you need a break Rosa, to get away for a bit, forget about work for a bit. Come to the next grand prix, Daniel would love to see you." I try to make her feel better.
"Can you book me a flight?" She asks, still sniffling.
"Of course, and I won't tell Daniel." I reassure her, and I see her smile on the other end of the screen.
"I'll see you at the next race then, maybe before, I'll text you when I land and you can send the address." Rosa tells me, and I nod before we see goodbye to each other.

I sigh at how stressed my best friend is, and I feel my heart sink. She needs a break, which she never gets with her work as she is constantly writing and thinking of ideas as an author. Mind, I can't say much. I continue getting my things out of the apartment, preparing to go to Spain for the next grand prix, the nerves hitting me like knives. This had been the first time I'd disappointed the team, I don't want to do it again. I pack my bags and I wait for Viola in the lobby and we head to the taxi, Charles coming with us too, and I don't forget to book Rosa a flight to Spain from England too.
