I sit in the trailer, just staring at outside, tears brimming at the thought of what I had done. I want to get revenge, I want to make him feel the pain I feel, and I want him to feel this pain from me, not from the lecture his 'babe' might give him. I notice George outside, walking around. I decide to get up and talk to him.
"Hey George." I call him out as he turns around hearing my voice.
"Oh, Mae, nice to see you, wanna take a walk? I needed to get out that garage." He chuckles.
"Yeah, please, your not the only one." I chuckle back at him.
We walk away from the trailers and onto the track, taking another walk of the track before the sprint, as if I don't know this track well enough already.
"Did you get home alright last night? Charles practically carried you home saying you were asleep." George inquires, laughing at the last part of that sentence.
"Yeah, I got home fine, and I did have an early nap on Charles' shoulder." I hesitantly say as I make George laugh.
"Glad you seemed to enjoy last night, Lando didn't fall asleep on a chair this time, kind of unfortunate I got some great mugshots of him last time." George points out.
"You will have to send those to me, Lando is so funny when he's drunk, falling asleep and giving everyone nicknames..." I ramble on as George simply laughs at me.
"So, he claims you have the best hugs." George states, looking at me with a warm smile.
"Do you wanna bet?" I ask, knowing he was jealous of Lando's statement the other night.
He opens his arms and I give him a huge hug, my arms wrapping around him, and his around me. I rest my head into the crook of his neck, whilst he relaxes his defined chin on my head, as he's slightly taller than Charles.
"Wow, I don't think I should've made that bet. Lando wasn't wrong." George laughs.
"Am I the new hug champion?" I ask George who previously had the title, he places his hands side my side above my head, acting like he's placing a crown on my head.
"Hey, watch you don't destroy my other crown for being the best driver." I point out and he laughs.
"I won't destroy it, don't worry." He laughs, slowly placing the invisible crown on my head.
"Maeve! God I've been looking for you!" Viola calls out to me, causing me and George to turn around at the urgency in her voice.
"Viola? Everything ok?" I ask her as she looks at me concerningly.
"No, the media is going insane!" As she says that I look at my phone to see Charles kissing another girl, probably his 'babe' and my blood boils.
"Everything alright Mae?" George asks, looking over at me, concerned.
"Tell me I don't have any interviews today Viola, and if I do, cancel them. Now." I sternly demand her, as she gets typing her iPad not arguing with me.
"Mae!" George calls out holding my forearm, causing me to turn around.
"Don't do something you'll regret later." He looks as me sympathetically.
I hug him again, letting all the tears fall out my eyes onto his chest.
"Mae..." He hugs me back, one arm rubbing my back and the other wrapped around my waist.
"Come on, lets get away from the cameras." He says, covering my face from the cameras, walking me behind the ferrari garage into the trailer.
I decide to tell George everything, I need to tell someone, not Viola, someone who wasn't as affiliated with the media as her.
