Epilogue

Place : Hospital
Time : 2:15 am

Dr. Michael Meyers comes out of the OT. Jeremy was sitting on the aisle closing his eyes. When he hears Dr. Michael is calling him, he looks up. He seems restless.

Jeremy : Doctor....doctor... How is Bella? Is she okay? Tell me doctor.

Dr. Michael : Calm down, Mr. Jeremy. Your girlfriend is alright. Don't be afraid. She survived. Her head was badly cracked, we also found blood clottings in some parts of her head. It seems like before this accident, she had been brutally beaten and also got hit on her head. But yet her willpower of living has destroyed all the negativities. She's so strong, Jeremy. After 8 hours of successful operation, we saved her.

Jeremy : Really? My Bella is safe. Thank God. Thanks doctor. Thank you so much.

Jeremy falls on the ground on his knees. He's crying. But the tears are pointing at the happiness of him getting Bella back. His Bella is alright. He comes in front of the OT door. From the circular windows of the OT, he is watching me. My whole head is bandaged. I am sleeping on the bed. Jeremy smiles. He recalls everything. The last incidents.

[ 8 hours ago]

Jeremy receives a call from an unknown number.
Jeremy : Hello?
Man : Hello! Jeremy?
Jeremy : Speaking.
Man : A girl is run over by a car. Her head is badly cracked. We are taking her to the hospital. She has lost her senses. She gave me this number and said to call you.
Jeremy : What? When? Where are you? Where is that girl? Did she tell you her name?
Man : Calm down, brother. Calm down. We are on the main road of Section 45 road. We are taking that girl to City Hospital and sorry she didn't tell us her name. Just she told me to call you. Who are you, brother? Is she your sister or lover?
Jeremy : She's my girlfriend. Just wait. I am reaching City Hospital.

Jeremy is so panicked. He doesn't know what to do. Suddenly he remembers that once I had given my mom's phone number to him. So he calls my mom immediately.

[Mom's phone beeps]

Mom : Hello?
Jeremy : It's me, Jeremy.
Mom : Why do you call me?
Jeremy : Bella met with an accident. Her head is cracked badly. She's taken to City Hospital. Please come as fast as possible.
Mom : What? Hello...hello...
Jeremy cuts the call.
My parents have become so tense. They are afraid. They rush to the hospital.

[ Present]

My dad asks Dr. Michael if he can meet me. Doctor says that he can. My parents enter the OT. I try to open my eyes. My whole head is in severe pain. Mom is crying. There's also tears in dad's eyes. Dad says sorry to me. But I am not angry with him. Mom is still crying. She takes my hand in her chest. I needed this. This is the first I think my heart says to me that," Bella, your parents doesn't hate you." It gives me peace.
After a few moments, they go out of the OT.

After some moments, Jeremy enters the OT. I am so happy to see him. I smile. He comes and sits next to my bed. He looks at me and makes a cute face. So adorable. I try to laugh. He takes my hand and kisses it. I close my eyes. He is staring at me. He doesn't say a word. He is just sitting on the chair next to me holding my hand and staring at me. The warming of his hands is the thing all I need. Peaceful, very peaceful. I wish him to hold my hand just like this. Always...and...ever after...

[ 1 month later ]

The wounds of my head are healing gradually. I still have pain. But not as much as before. Dad doesn't beat me now, he doesn't use bad words either. Mom became more friendly with me. I share everything with mom. Happy family. They also like Jeremy now. I am happy too. Good times really came after the bad times in my life. Yeah, really do.

[Some days later ]

Cosy afternoon. Beautiful sky.

Jeremy calls me. Now I have my own phone and he is permitted to call me. I received the phone.
Me : Hello!
Jeremy : Hello, babe. Wanna meet you today. But somewhere else.
Me : Where?
Jeremy : Aha, won't tell you. Be ready, I am coming to pick you up.

Surprise again. I am getting ready as soon as possible. Today I am wearing a white dress with white leggings. My wavy hair and a white hairband on top. Bracelets on hand. Also added the perfume Jeremy likes.

Jeremy comes to my home to pick me up. He meets my mom. Mom permits us to go out together. My parents like Jeremy, this isn't less than a dream to me. We are going out together again after a long time.
Me : Where are we going?
Jeremy : Somewhere. Shh.
Me : Okay.

We reached there. Wow, so beautiful! He brought me to a beautiful place. On a riverside place. Gentle wind is blowing, birds chirping, the sweet fragrance of flowers everywhere. There are so many cherry blossom trees. Such a beautiful place exists in this town, I didn't know before. And surprisingly this place is so calm, there is no crowd. I can feel nature, the fresh air. The sound of the river. So satisfying. Because of the pain of my head, nowadays I can't tolerate crowd. All I needed was some fresh air. I wanna breathe.

Jeremy : Feeling happy, love?
Me : So much.
He is standing next to me. He pulls me closer.
Jeremy : We will always live so happily. Our life will just be so beautiful as this nature. I promise you, Bella.

He moves hair from my forehead and kisses me.
Jeremy : I love you, Bella. Thank you so much for coming into my life.
Me : I love you too, Jeremy.

He hugs me. I also wrap my arms around him. We close our eyes. I am feeling so good.

And he whispers into my ear,
" Please stay with me always, Bella. I will still keep loving you.. "

A teardrop falls down from my eye.
