Chapter 16-Musicians' Village

Everyone seemed tense as Tigress started barking out orders. She turned to Mantis and Monkey, who were eyeing the saliva coated red beans with disgust, "Mantis, Monkey, warn anyone on their way there. -And Y/n, scout the village."

"Viper, Crane, find Po. I'll be with you both shortly." She nodded at all of us, before leaping off to join Viper and Crane, both of whom were already headed towards the Dragon Grotto, where Master Shifu frequently meditated.

You crane your neck to meet the eyes of Mantis and Monkey, and told them about your plan. "I found a shortcut, we can rendezvous with the others on the way since the village's closer from the Dragon Grotto."

"All for it Y/n!" Mantis piped up, while Monkey added, "Let's go."

And off you went, shooting yourself above the mountaintops, which provided you a great vantage point in case any danger lurked. The skies started to bleed a breathtaking orange, mixing with the blues and whites from the afternoon. You could also make out some burgundy purple on the horizon that started to grow more prominent, a sign that it's growing dark. -And a sign that you should hurry up.

With Mantis hitching a ride on Monkey, you all quickly made it to the Musicians' Village. However, you left the two on the way there to find out where the intruders were entering from. You kept your noise level to a minimum, gliding through the air with the occasional flap. You glided above it all, and zeroed in on a well hidden spot among the bushes. So that's the ant's nest. Shitheads.

You draw nearer to their point of entry as a warning bell gets rung, you look downwards to see a pig narrowly dodging an arrow tied with a rope by the end, presumably as a quick way to rob the village of its valuables. The arrow was shot into the ground, connected to a higher cliff by a rope. Their point of entry now was packed with wolf soldiers wielding bows and arrows, with little to nothing at your disposal, you think of an idea to stop them from shooting.

Drawing your large wings into your body, you created less drag, making yourself more aerodynamic, and thus enabled you to cut through the air. You landed on the cliff with grace and knocked many an archer into the misty depths below in one fell swoop. This caused several arrows to drop onto the rooftops, instead of being penetrated into them. However, to your dismay, a scruffy one-eyed wolf already went down to the village, along with his group of soldiers.

Damnit, I'll get them after I rendezvous with the others. There shouldn't be any of those pesky intruders now. With one more glance at the entrance, you leaned backwards off the cliff, and fell, waiting for the perfect moment.... Turn! You turned your body right-side up, and flew across the abyss.

"Wooooooo!" Po yelled, signalling that he's arrived, "Wings of justice!"

He continued to run with Crane, Viper and Tigress. For some reason, he decided to leap off of a cliff, unaware of the dangers he faced, "Yeeha... AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" You sigh, as you shoot through the air, catching Po in the process. "Oh! Hey sis!" Po looked upwards to find you holding onto him with ease, something you got used to since he was your sibling. You shoot him a smile.

Finding a smaller mountain up front, you dropped him off there. "How's it going there?" Crane piped up, matching your flight rhythm. You focused on the situation at hand, answering without noticing his rosy cheeks, "Hm, wolves coming from the North. Lots of them. Looked like an army."

As we neared the cliff, Po leaps off and dives towards the village with full confidence. Now with Mantis and monkey joining us, the team is finally complete. You help Po with the landing, and he absolutely STICKS IT with the others doing their respective poses, which was something Po persuaded everyone to do. Though.. "Ha!" Po laughs, before realising he was facing the wrong way, "huh?" Doing a turn, "Ha!"
