(More of a Y/N's and Tai Lung's POV in this chapter)

I flew to the Jade Palace, scanning the surroundings urgently.

I neared the prestigious kung fu academy, narrowing my eyes against the wind that was forcing me to go back to Crane.

Before getting closer, a familiar cackle rung as it seemed to the end of the world, and so I knew.

Tai Lung has arrived.

As if I was a puppet, I had no control of my body as it was taken over by instinct, I dipped down and in a few seconds, landed quietly onto the slabbed roof of the Jade Palace.

"Give... me... the scroll!" A voice strained.

"I would rather die!"

Immediately recognising that voice, I looked for a hole for me to squeeze through.

Bingo.

Smuggling myself into the Jade Palace was quite easy I must say, probably because they made a hole while defying the laws of gravity.

Or probably I'm going insane but seriously, does anyone notice that we could literally hit someone so hard they could get launched to the end of the world?

Yeah I'm going crazy.

Hiding above the pillars that support the Jade Palace, I stared down, fear immediately filling me the moment I saw him.

Shifu was struggling to refrain Tai Lung from choking him with Master Oogway's staff, I just hope that the staff would be alright.

SNAP.

I couldn't help but let my jaw drop, Tai Lung actually did that. Well to be fair Shifu took part in breaking it, but I shouldn't be rooting for the bad guy..

Shifu looked back at the pieces and a flutter of peach petals flew by, a pang of sadness remained in my heart.

Caught off guard, Shifu was kicked by Tai Lung into the wall.

Shifu then leapt from column to column, followed by Tai lung. He eventually went to the rafters and Tai Lung followed, sending them both crashing through the roof. I looked at the scene unveiling before my eyes. I was really glad they didn't see me or else that would've been disastrous.

Grappling in mid-air, Shifu briefly got the upper hand before Tai Lung wrung his paw around Shifu's throat as they crashed back through the roof.

Shifu crashed into a column, fell to the floor and landed on the ground with a thump, immediately knocking the air out of him.

Tai Lung on the other hand, bounced off the wall skilfully , which knocked a lantern to the floor.

Taking this as an opportunity to gain the upper hand, he dipped his paw in the flames, and slowly but surely, the cold flames engulfed his arms.

Grinning to himself, he charged at Shifu with a roar, punching him as he went to further push him to the pond, where the Dragon Scroll was held. Tai Lung had no interest for the Phoenix Scroll, rather, he was interested in the person who received it. (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

"All I ever did, I did to make you proud!" He growled, blinded by rage, "Tell me how proud you are, Shifu!" My feathers were on edge, I was frozen, I felt useless.

"Tell me! TELL ME!" He grew desperate.

Shifu went silent.

Tai Lung's POV

He isn't proud of you Tai Lung.

After that day.

He will never be.

See Tai Lung?

He's silent.

He's not proud of you at all.

You trained so hard, Tai Lung.

And yet, a flabby panda that has no training wins your master's heart.

It's his fault.

I lost my patience, so as any other person would do, I punched Shifu.

I sent Shifu skidding across the floor and he crashed against the reflecting pool.

Looking at my flaming paw, I extinguished it with ease, I was powerful.

Shifu, look at you, getting bested by your student? That must've hurt your ego.

I chuckled, and stalked towards my "Master".

" I... have always been proud of you." Shifu coughed, "From the first moment, I've been... proud of you."

I stared at him guiltily, before gaining my composure.

Tai Lung, don't make me think you actually believe that.

"And it was my pride... that blinded me." Tai Lung, stop it. "I loved you too much to see what you were becoming." Stop with that guilty feeling right this instant. "What I... was turning you into... I'm... I'm sorry."

My mind was racing, this battle within me, how do I stop it?

Tai Lung, your master took in another student, your replacement.

Your replacement.

My replacement?

Doesn't Shifu love me?

No he doesn't.

My expression goes cold, I made my decision.

Grabbing Shifu, I snarled, "I don't want your apology... I want my scroll!"

In that hall, Shifu was hoisted up by his neck, slowly choking him.

My mouth hung open, while I looked up, that expression quickly hardened into fury.

"What? WHERE IS IT?!", I slammed Shifu to the marble floor, cracking it in the process.

Y/N's POV

Still hiding up in the pillars, I got into a ready position to swoop down whenever.

Shifu spoke in a strained voice, "Dragon Warrior has taken scroll halfway across China by... now." Coughing, he continued to be persistent, "You will never see that scroll, Tai Lung." Tai Lung unsheathed his razor-sharp claws, "Never! N-never..."

Alright, that's enough.

I swooped down and got into a fighting stance, drawing my beak into a snarl.

"Well, well, well. Who do we have here?"

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter! Trust me, next chapter will be much longer (hopefully) lol
