Confessed Problem

Giyuu POV

A few days had passed already. Nemi is recovering well and he's already back on his feet. He still needs some help walking and he has occasional headaches due to him being hit hard on the head. He's been under my care the whole time.

"How are you feeling today Nemi?" I asked him when we woke up. "I'm feeling much better now that I'm talking to you~" he said flirtatiously. "Flattering" I scoffed and rolled my eyes sarcastically. "Hey!" We both laugh.

"I'm hungry." He says randomly. "Let me get you something then-"
"No stay!" He held my arm before I got up. "Hm?"
"Stay!" He repeated.
I chuckle. "Okay then Nemi... Let me call Aoi for some food then."

After Aoi had arrived with the food I started feeding Nemi again. But, I was a bit distracted by something. "Baby..? Are you alright?" I hear him say.
"Huh?"
"Are you alright? You seem to be thinking of something." He tilted his head. "It's nothing, don't worry about it."
"I know that voice, it's something, is there something you need to tell me?" I looked away. I felt his hand cup my face. He slowly turned my face back to look at his. "I won't judge you baby, promise." Were the words he last said before I started crying. "Eh?! W-why are you crying?!"
"I-I tried doing it again Nemi! I-I'm so sorry!" I sobbed in his grip.
"Tried what, baby?" He said in confusion. I looked down at my arms. "Oh."

It was silent for a few minutes, other than my soft sobs. "Why..?" He finally said. I looked up at him. "Why did you try?" He looked at me with sincerity. "I was scared you weren't going to survive... And then the thoughts came back..." I said quietly. "Oh, I'm sorry for leaving you my love... But, I'm so proud of you for staying strong for me, you're wonderful..." He caressed my face.

He kept on comforting me as I cried. Nothing much happened during that. Just him whispering sweet things to me.

A few hours later, before we went to bed, I asked him something. "How do you feel right now Nemi? About the injuries?"
"I'm feeling better, maybe just a fe w more days in bed then we can get back to some physical stuff!" He exclaimed happily. I chuckle softly. "Alright then, Nemi. I love you..." I hold his hand. "I love you too baby..."
