He woke up!

(6 months later)

Giyuu POV:

A few months had passed since Nemi came in unconscious. 6 months to be specific. I had stayed by his side everyday. I brought him food just in case he did wake up. No luck. I sat in a chair next to his bed. I told him stories about the days that had passed every day, hoping he heard me. He did show signs of waking up but he never did. I would spend many hours crying and begging him to wake up. Which obviously didn't work.

I tried harming myself again. Just a few cuts in the arm. I tried doing it in the bathroom. Kocho caught me. She scolded me. "What would Shinazugawa think if he just woke up and found out you were dead!" She yelled with tears in her eyes. The thought also brought me to tears. I didn't want to leave Nemi alone. So I stopped trying.

"Nemi I brought you some food" I say, holding a tray with both arms. I was too focused on looking at the tray as not to drop it that I didn't realise what had changed. "Hi baby..." I heard a familiar voice. A raspy voice... Almost as if they hadn't drank water in a long time. I look up. The sight I saw made me cry. I dropped the tray. "Nemi!" I ran to his side. I gripped his arm. "Are you okay?! Are you hurt? Please tell me you're okay!" I cried. He laughed. "I'm alright Baby... what happened?"
"Y-you went in a coma for 6 months after defeating uppermoon 2... Y-You were badly hurt..." I sobbed.
"Oh... I'm sorry for leaving you baby..." His hand slipped out of my grip and he caressed my cheek. I leaned into his touch.  "What is all the ruckus here?!" I heard Kocho call out before she reached the entrance. "Oh my god!" She gasped before running off again.

She came back with a few medical supplies and Aoi. "Please clean this mess up Aoi, then come back afterward." Kocho pointed to the dropped tray. Aoi bowed before she started cleaning it.

"Are you alright Shinazugawa? Does it hurt anywhere?" She said as she checked his body. "I'm fine Kocho."

After the check up Kocho said that he would have to rest for a few weeks and some support and training to get back on his feet. I nod before I see Aoi come back with two trays. "Here you go, some food." She put them down on the table. "Thanks kid" Nemi rasped. Aoi bowed and then left the room.

I fed Nemi as he swallowed slowly. "Don't leave me like that again... You scared me..." I wiped the tears off my face after feeding him. He chuckled softly. "Okay then Love..." He tried reaching out for a glass of water. "Stop trying to be independent, you just woke up." I scolded before picking up the glass of water and letting him drink it. After he gulped the water down he laughed. "You're cute when you're mad..."
"I am not!"
"Yes you are"
"Am not!"
"Yes"
"No!
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No- You know what I give up..."
"Haha... Okay baby..."

I kissed his hand repeatedly before he took mine and kissed it once. That was enough to turn my whole face red. "You're so cute..." he rubbed my hand.
