Perched on the couch, my phone screen held my unwavering attention. Just as suspense reached its zenith, a notification sprung to life: "You're hired."

Shock held me momentarily mute, my brain struggling to process the words dancing before my eyes. Then, a surge of elation erupted within, akin to a dormant volcano suddenly ignited. Without second thought, I catapulted from the couch into an impromptu dance, as if the very air had transformed into confetti.

Witnessing my exuberant leap onto the couch, my papa's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Pagal ho gayi ?" he inquired with a mix of amusement and concern.

Translation: Have you gone mad ?

In a heartbeat, even my dad joined the celebration. He morphed into a dance machine, revealing that even the most dignified individuals concealed an inner groove. His hug radiated both paternal pride and an "I-have-no-idea-what's-happening-but-I'm-happy-for-you" sentiment.

In a burst of uncontainable excitement, I couldn't help but shout at the top of my lungs, "I'm hired!" The words echoed through the room, carrying with them the weight of my achievement and the joy of a new beginning.

Amid our shared excitement, I let out a loud proclamation, "I'm hired!" The words resonated through the room, carrying my achievement's weight and the joy of a fresh start.

In an instant, he too was bounding onto the couch. He embraced me with a mixture of joy and pride, his hug heartfelt and genuine. "I'm so proud of you, peanut," he exclaimed, his voice reflecting admiration and happiness.

As we eventually collapsed onto the couch, our energy expended from the spontaneous dance-off, my papa gazed at me with a soft smile. "You've always had this spark, and now the world gets to witness it."

I leaned against his shoulder, contentment washing over me. "Thanks, papa. I couldn't have done this without your support."

He affectionately ruffled my hair. "Remember, peanut, this is just the beginning. Embrace every challenge and keep that fire burning."

At dinner, the table bore a feast spanning my favorite dishes. The aroma in the air was a delicious preview of the culinary delights to come. My mom had outdone herself, preparing a spread catering to my every craving. It was a heartfelt gesture that showcased her love and support.

As we gathered around the table, the atmosphere buzzed with shared joy. My sister was present too, offering her congratulations with an infectious smile. The dishes, a mix of family classics and personal favorites, delighted my taste buds and enhanced the camaraderie.

"So, in your dream company now, huh? How long until they show you the exit?" Kaashvi teased, a mischievous grin on her face.

I playfully slapped her shoulder. "Shut up," I retorted, unable to hide my smile.

"Ouch, I'm just speaking the truth," she quipped, feigning innocence.

Changing the subject, I asked, "What are your thoughts on me moving in with Claire?"

"Nope, we are not letting you out of our sight. You're our baby girl," my mom chimed in, a protective note in her voice.

Kaashvi, always the troublemaker, chimed in, "Or you could execute a covert midnight escape, just like I did."
