Ruin AU~ 10.

At home, you'd had a good meal and took some towels and handkerchiefs, and more water as you'd used most of it to clean their face. You also packed some extra snacks in case you'd get hungry. You weren't planning to stay long, as you wanted to get them out of there as soon as possible, but you decided to take some sandwiches anyways.

Around eleven in the morning, you were back at the pizzaplex, ready to go back inside, but as you stepped out of your car, you spotted a person outside of the building. The town you lived in was small, you knew almost every face there, and this was definitely not a familiar one. They must've been from the city, but why were they here? Their car seemed to have broken down. They must've been on the way somewhere.
You walked up to the person, and as you got closer, you saw that it was a man.

"Excuse me, do you need any help?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, my car broke down, I was just about to visit my parents but-"
As he turned around to face you, he seemed surprised.
"Don't I.. know you?"
The man had beautiful red curls, and his hair reached halfway his ears. He had a gentle look on his face and big playful eyes. He had a few freckles on his cheek and wore round glasses. He looked quite dorky, but in a cute way.

"Huh? No.. I don't think so?"

"No, I do! But that's impossible.. you died back then.. did you survive after all? No way, you would've been like.. forty by now?" He chuckled.

"You too..? Did you use to work here or something? No that's.. how old are you?"

"Twenty-nine. I'm turning thirty in nine days! Can you believe it?"
You laughed.

"I almost can't. You don't look a day older than twenty eight."

"Right? I keep telling my mom!" He laughed along. "But you're Y/N, right? No.. Are you their kid? No way! I would've known if they had a kid.. right?"

"I'm sorry.. I've had someone else confuse.. think I was them. Did you know them? Were you close?"

"Oh, I was just a kid back then, but they were my favorite daycare attendant! I used to go here when my parents were working or when they visited the pizzaplex with my older brother, but I was a bit shy as a kid, you know? That Sun animatronic, I used to love him, but he was always busy with the other kids, and I get it, it was a mess, I can't believe they let him do that by himself before Y/N.. but they just.. They always made sure everyone was okay. It's really sad what happened to them. I refused to go to any other daycare for months! Until my mom just got me a nanny. It was never the same though.. Oh! Right, my name is Liam." He offered you his hand which you gladly shook.

Liam.. sounds familiar.
"I'm.. Yeah, it is sad. I'm sure you must've gotten along well."
You couldn't tell him your name, he'd be so confused if you did..

"So.. do you need any help? My dad taught me a thing or two about cars, maybe I can help?"

"Oh, that would be great, thanks. Here, I got an emergency car kit in the back.. although I have no idea how to use it, but maybe you do."
He got the kit from the back and placed it on the ground in front of the car. He opened the engine cover and stepped aside, letting you take a look.

You smiled at him as you notice how he stared at you.
"What?"

"No, nothing, I just.. You really look exactly like them. It's hard to believe you're not related."

You sighed.
"Yeah.." You stayed quiet about it for a while as you took a look at the engine.
"I don't see anything wrong with the car.. Try to start it again."

He sat down in the driver's seat and turned the key. The engine rattled for a moment, but it turned on after a few seconds.
"Wow, I feel like such a dork.. I swear it didn't start before!"
