Friday morning saw Shen Yang in a giddy mood as he didn't receive any calls from his mother yet.
Keeping aside the fact that, that is only because he had already booked his ticket on the same day he had his argument with his Mom.
He still has two days of peace left as he has to board his plane on Sunday evening.
With this mood, he was skipping down his apartment stairs while humming one of his favourite song, I want it that way. That's when he saw little kids of his apartment playing in the garden near the parking lot.
Excitement kicked in as he saw those kids kicking their ball around, he decided to join them since he was earlier that day.
"HELLOW KIDS, Can I join you?"
"Only if you score a goal for us, loud voice uncle", said an equally loud voiced chubby girl.
"Ofcourse, just wait and watch me", he turned all cocky and got ready to play, clearly not minding the nickname.
The next fifteen minutes filled with goofiness ended with his team winning as he scored the final goal.
He bid his goodbye and was about to leave when he felt someone tugging his sleeve. On looking down, he saw the chubby girl standing with a rose in her hand.
"Is that for me, Little Miss?", he asked with a little laugh.
"Yes. And my name is Miri, loud voice uncle", she said grumpily and gave the rose to him.
"Alright, Miss Miri then, and my name is Shen Yang, anyway thanks for the rose."
The girl smiled at him, "Welcome! Loud voice uncle Yang."

Neji was on his way to his cabin on the elevator when Shen Yang joined him.
His forehead creased a little as the newcomer didn't even acknowledge his presence. He was too busy staring and smiling at the thing in his hand.
A red rose!
"Oh! Neji ge! Good morning."
"......."
A beautiful Red Rose-
"Neji ge?"
"......."
-on his hands...
Ding
Neji's floor arrived and he walked away without even a glance.
Now, Shen Yang's forehead creased and he was left confused.

Fuck!
Neji cursed as he erased his message to Shen Yang for the 9th time . A bit of guilt was eating him since the morning in the elevator.
He had to admit that he over reacted... a bit . He just couldn't help it, something irked him when he saw the rose.
He put his phone down and leaned back on his swivel chair, a sigh left his lips.
The clock in his cabin struck 12.00. Thirty minutes more until lunch break. Just a little more time till he sees him.
12:10 PM
He shifted in his chair , Twenty more minutes.
12:20 PM
He tried to concentrate on his computer infront of him.

It took him five minutes to reach Shen Yang's cubicle, ready to drag him out of it for lunch.
There, the dark red coloured flower stole the spotlight on Shen Yang's white marble table.
A tinge of uneasiness formed in his mind.
" There is a rose on your table."
Yu Shen Yang looked up at him upon hearing his voice.
" Yes. Beautiful right ?", Shen Yang smiled. "Did the almighty Neji-sama visit this peasant's place just to enquire about this rose?"
"Who gave this to you?"
"Gave what to me ?"
"This rose"
"Oh.... A cute girl from my neighborhood."
"A cute girl?"
"Yes."
Neji turned and walked away to the cafeteria.
"Neji ge! Neji ge! Wait!",Shen Yang chased after him.

" Are you going to tell me what's wrong with you or are you going to keep that face for the rest of the day. I'm telling you, your face will be stuck like this permanently. Now why are you glaring at me? You look funny, not scary!", Shen Yang huffed.
" ......"
This is what's been happening for the past twenty minutes after they both got their lunch and settled down in their usual place.
"You know, I'm leaving to Shanghai this Sunday and you are giving me this cold shoulder. Even this morning, a cute little girl gave me a rose as she liked me very much, now it seems like my Neji ge doesn't seem to like me anymore", he pouted.
Three things attacked Neji at the same time.
1. Shen Yang is leaving this Sunday to his hometown.
2. A little girl gave him the rose.
3. How can he think that Neji doesn't like him?
One more thing!
He looks really cute when he pouts.
2 minutes later
".........-ould you do that for me?", Shen Yang's voice seemed like it was coming from underwater and Neji snapped from his daze.
"Anything for you", Neji blurted out.
Shen Yang's face broke into a smile that rivaled the Sun, "I know my Neji ge would do that , he is awesome afterall. Tell me Neji ge, you were playing with me, right? I know that I'm your favourite junior. I know you like the back of my --"
"Wait, what do you want me to do?"
Cicada noises filled their table as it was engulfed by an awkward silence.
"Did you even hear what I said?"
Suddenly the ceramic cup in front of Neji looked so intriguing that it needed his undivided attention.
Shen Yang huffed, "You are being weird since morning. Fine, I'll tell you again. I won't be back for a week from China, so, will you take care of Ryder for me?"
"Oh... Okay"
The rest of the lunch went by filled with Shen Yang's rants and Neji's relief.

"Be a good boy Ryder and don't give uncle a hard time. Papa will be back soon", Shen Yang's eyes teared up a little while he kissed Ryder's forehead.
"Don't worry Yang Yang, I will take good care of Ryder", Hanako said.
Shen Yang smiled at her but Neji could see that it didn't reach his eyes.
The announcement lady's voice rang out that it was time to board the plane.
Shen Yang came to Neji and gave him a tight hug, while Neji stood there like a deer in head lights.
"Thanks Neji ge, I could only trust you with Ryder."
"That's nothing, and...call me once in a while, take care, eat well, don't fall sick, sleep well, drink more water and....what!?"
Shen Yang was looking at him like he has grown two heads.
"Ahh... Nothing, I'll get going then."
He kissed Ryder again, patted Hanako's head and waved at Neji.
He turned back and left ignoring Ryder's longing eyes and desperate barks.
