America and Canada were currently sitting in one of their many homes across the two countries, the current one being an apartment in Washington DC. America was swamping himself in government work for the tenth time this month while Canada cooked.

"Ame! I'm done cooking!" Canada exclaimed, only to get no reply.

Instead, she heard whimpering as Liberty, her brother's pet eagle, flew into the room. She knew something was wrong, as the eagle only really left her brother's side if something was wrong, due to somehow being licensed as a service animal. Canada rushed into America's office, where he had fallen asleep while doing his work, but had seemingly started to have an episode. America's Canada quickly nudged America to wake him up.

"Huh?" America said, immediately shutting his mouth after feeling the black liquid boil in his mouth.

He ran to the bathroom, Canada and Liberty following. He started throwing the black liquid up in the toilet as he discarded his sunglasses and black liquid spilled from his eyes. Canada opened a distinctly black pill bottle, opened it, and gave America two pills, who quickly swallowed them. After about five minutes, the episode subsided as America clung to Canada. Canada understood, as after episodes, America becomes blind, mute, and deaf for about five minutes, except he's actually mute for half an hour. Canada led him to the couch in the living room, where he lied down. Canada walked back into the kitchen as President hopped onto the couch with America and Liberty flew onto America's head. President squiggled his way into America's arms. America viably relaxed after feeling that both of his pets were there. Canada put what she wanted on her plate before putting what she knew her brother would want, as he's a picky eater, on his plate. Canada left the plates on the kitchen counter as she went to check on her brother. As she walked into the room, America sat up and blinked, regaining his eyesight and hearing.

"Blurry." He signed to Canada.

"Right, right. I'll be right back. I left your glasses in the bathroom." Canada said, getting up and walking to the bathroom.

She quickly grabbed America's sunglasses before walking back to the living room and handing them to him. America put them on his face before getting up, sitting President on the ground. The duo walked into the kitchen, grabbed their plates, and sat at the dining table.

"I'm going on a walk after this." America signed to Canada.

"I'm coming with you. We've been couped up here all day." Canada replied.

America nodded, pulled out his phone and started playing his playlist, which was all over the place. Never Gonna Give You Up started playing.

"Rickrolled." America signed.

The duo continued to talk as they ate. As America went to put some shoes on, his phone started ringing. He pulled it out of his pocket to see it was the President, Donald J Trump. He glared at his phone as he answered, handing the phone to Canada. Canada put it on speaker.

"Hello?" The president said.

"Hello, Ame recently had an episode and is currently mute." Canada said.

"Oh, well I was checking in to see if she-" America flinched, "finished the paperwork."

America signed to Canada, who translated.

"HE says he's almost finished with it all, but since his episode started while working on it, he needs another copy of the NATO paper." Canada said.

"Understandable. Just run over and get it. Also drop off what you have done. Don't make your stupid eagle-" America started aggressively signing, "do it for you."

"America's signing about you disrespecting Liberty again." Canada said.

"Ama, I don't care about your eagle. What I care about is your paperwork, girl." The sitting president said before hanging up.

"IS IT THAT HARD TO GET RESPECT AROUND HERE??" America aggressively signed before breaking down.

Canada was quick to comfort her twin. America, being America, sent Liberty to quickly go get the paperwork and drop off his old paperwork.

"Let's go." America spoke once Liberty had returned.

Canada nodded. Liberty returned to her perch on America's shoulder as he opened the apartment door. Once both walked out, Canada locked the door.
