I slap Elijah's cheek so hard and he stands there dumbfounded. He takes it, knowing he deserves it.

"I thought there wasn't anything more you could do to break my heart," I spit angrily, swiftly turning my lust into fury and anger.

He can't meet my eyes.

"You knew. This whole time. You agreed to hide Marcel from me. Why?"

"There's no excuse..." he mumbles apologetically. "I'm sorry."

My blood boils at his cop-out answer. Can't he simply be straight with me for once?

"I have never lied to you. Ever," I shout at him angrily now. "And I never will. Can't you offer me courtesy by doing the same?"

He looks ashamed of himself. Good. This isn't acceptable at all. How dare they all lie to me?

"Niklaus simply wanted to take back the city as our own before you saw Marcellus. We did not want you in harms way when-"

"-Harms way? Harms way?" My eyes nearly pop out of their sockets as Elijah suggests Marcel would ever dare hurt me.

Elijah sighs, realising his words have riled me up even more which wasn't his intention.

"We were wrong," he admits to me finally. "I am very sorry."

I simply scowl at him and stalk off in a foul mood. It's one thing to not mention Marcel, but for all three of my husbands to discuss this together without my knowledge infuriates me.

I am not a weak-willed woman. I deserve to know the full truth and it hurts a lot that they don't feel close enough to me anymore to share these vital details.

It's like they don't care how I feel.
I'm not a priority.

Deciding to visit Davina, I make my way to the church. She will appreciate my presence and I certainly won't be a nuisance to her.

When Marcel leaves us alone to take a phone call, I urge Davina over and whisper my plan. She was delighted to see Tim and it didn't take long for her to get over her hatred for me being one of the 'Old Ones' as she put it.

"Davina, I know a spell that will allow you to leave this place for short periods of time without Marcellus knowing."

Davina perks up, her ears prickling at my words.

"I will need your blood and it won't be today. However I can create a temporary body double and help you see Tim outside of this church more, provided you follow my rules for your safety and allow me to escort you everywhere."

Her mouth falls open and tears spring to her eyes.

"You would do that for me? Why?"

"You're such a young girl Davina, you shouldn't be cooped up in here for fear of the witches. We are allies now so let me help you. I hate those self-righteous witches just as much as you do."

Davina is thrilled and it's clear I've gained her complete trust. We discuss a few more implications of the shadow spell, including how she must keep herself hidden.

"It will be very dangerous if the witches see you. It's a temporary spell, do not ask me to make it permanent. It is too dangerous to have two of you walking around all the time so no one can know," I reiterate and she fully understands. "Marcel will not notice a difference in a few hours, a shadow duplicate left here will not raise his suspicions."

I know my son will be furious if he finds out about this but he won't. Davina needs this, Marcel will say no if I suggest it but I know I can mask her and keep her safe.
