I wake up feeling groggy. My eyes blink, trying to clear away the fog. I don't recognise where I am.

Turning my head the other way, I spot Kol sat down and drinking bourbon. He's still covered in dried blood.

"Fia," he detects a change in my breathing and rushes over, covering me back over with a blanket when I attempt to stand up.

"Kol, where am I? What happened?"

"I'm keeping you here safe. A doctor is coming later," he says shortly, not giving me much to go on.

"Kol, where's our family?" I ask whipping my head back around to search for them. But there nowhere to be found.

There's no way they would leave me right now. Something is wrong.

"They're too dangerous to be around you," Kol shocks me with his explanation. "Elijah could have killed you, Nik said he wanted a normal wife..."

"Elijah left me?" I start to remember the moments before I lost consciousness. "Is he okay?"

"He hurt you, I don't care if he's okay," Kol accuses him with a bark. "You matter not him."

"Oh Kol," I sigh, realising it's not going to be an easy task for him to allow me to see Elijah again. "This is a hard time for us all, I need everyone here for me. I need you all or I won't get through this."

He swallows, looking a little guilty and I try to stand up again. Instantly, he blocks my path.

"Kol, let me get up," I become angry and confused.

"No, you're staying here with me until you're better," he scowls in refusal.

I sit back down as his words sink in.

"Kol, where are we? Home is the best place for us both, what are we doing here?"

"Waiting for a doctor," he won't explain any more.

"Where are we?" I ask again.

He hands me some blood when I wobble a little, feeling lightheaded and dizzy due to the lack of blood in my system.

"Kol, where are we?" My voice raises in volume.

"Outside New Orleans," he finally gives in when I shout at him. "I snuck you away while the others were fighting each other."

I'm too stunned to speak for a long time.

"You kidnapped me?"

"Well I wouldn't call it that..." he feebly defends himself.

"Can I leave?" I snap at him in irritation.

"No."

"So what do you call this then?" I wave my hands around the room. "A fucking holiday?"

"Darling when you put it like that you make it sound so bad," he whines and feels sorry for himself but I won't have it.

"It is bad Kol, take me back home," I demand, starting to get worried about how badly my other lovers are going to take this. "Take me back or I swear to god you will regret this. I will divorce you."

He looks at me sadly. "I'm going to have to take that risk darling."

He knows I won't divorce him. He's not playing games.

Shit.

When Kol leaves the room to let the specialist doctor in, I frantically turn everything upside down so I can find his phone. It's filled with angry texts and voicemails from his stupid contact names Sister, Uptight Neat Freak and Dagger-happy wolf.
