Annabeth was frustrated.
The letters in the book Daddy gave her wouldn't stay still! She just wanted to understand. How was she to discover what happened to the little bird who was looking for his mother if she couldn't read it? Daddy had promised to read it to her, but he was so busy! He kept saying that he wanted to do things, but then something would come up and he would forget about her. It wasn't fair!
Annabeth pouted when her hair fell in front of her face again, no matter how many times she pushed it back the blonde strands fell in front of her face. Closing the book as it clearly didn't like her, meanie, she went to go look for Daddy. He had promised that he would take her out for ice cream in half an hour, but it had been forever and he still was in his office working on those weird not-toys-toys.
She knocked on the door because she did know how to be poll-light. When no response came, she shoved it open. It was a bit heavy, but she is strong. Although those eight-legged monsters were scary, they bit Annabeth when she was just trying to give them a new home outside. She dropped them and they ran away. After that, they only came back to make her room have webs and bite her, which made her sad and scared. Daddy did put something that had been keeping them away in her room, he called her his little princess.
Annabeth shook her head, she needed to get Daddy to go out with her for ice cream 'cause he had promised and we don't break our promises. That's what he told her before he poked her nose and tickled her.
"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!"She chanted, tugging on his shirt, trying to get his attention.
He looked down at her and he had a little smile on his face, "Yes, princess?"
" It's been hwalf – half an hour, you promised me ice cream!"
"Oh, did I?" He asked, rubbing his chin as if he forgot. " Well, it looks like I have a promise to fulfill because as you know—-"
"We don't break promises/pwomises." They said in sync before he tickled her, making her giggle.

They were sitting on the steps of the house as they finished up their ice cream. While they were out, they even got her a plushy that she named Ella who was a blue elephant wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Ella would be good friends with her other plushy Soybean, who was named after what she kept on babbling as a baby.
She felt nice. She was happy.
