"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, NATALIE?"

The young woman's mouth was agape a little at the man in front of her. She looked different from the last time he had seen her. Her hair was shorter now, and her face was more sunken.

"I want to see my daughter." She said that, causing Klaus to scoff. He leaned his body more against the doorframe, crossing his arm over his chest.

"You had your chance to have your daughter, Natalie. She's better off not seeing you."

Klaus pushed off the doorframe and went to close the door, but Natalie stuck her foot in between. Klaus let out a sigh, shaking his head, before moving to the side to let her in. She remembered the same scent from the time she visited, bringing back vivid memories.

"Mikasa is somewhere around the house. You're lucky Mai isn't here for the weekend, but don't be too comfortable." Klaus sternly spoke to Natalie, but she put her hand up slightly for him to stop talking.

"I completely understand, and I won't do anything." She said this, giving a small smile. Klaus only hummed and walked into the kitchen. Natalie looked around, staring at the picture frame on the table.

"Hm? You and Maia got married?" Natalie spoke loudly for Klaus to hear her.

"Yeah, right after you left." Klaus said, handing Natalie the glass of water.

"You always wondered how it would be if we got married?" She questioned, observing for his answer.

"Never." He spoke quickly: "What we did was awful and out of lust. I love Mai, and I'll never love you. Ever."

"Damn, I just asked a question, not the extra stuff." Natalie mumbles. Moments later, the sound of scurrying footsteps came down the stairs. Natalie watched the little girl bounce towards the kitchen, grabbing an orange from the fridge.

"Daddy, can you peel this for me?"

She held up the orange to him in her hand as he kindly took it to peel. Natalie stared at her in awe, as this was her and Klaus' daughter. Mikasa's eyes landed on the lady beside her dad, and she hid by him.
