Yeavely Park was right across from Gotham City High School. A yellow bus was parked in the middle of the street and the truck taken from Yellen Shipyard was parked in front of it. The driver and students inside had been ambushed by the gang of maniacs, who had recently escaped from Arkham Asylum.

The GCPD had already started shooting at the gang when the Red Demon appeared next to Jim. Bullets flew from both sides. The problem was the bus was still full of cheerleaders and jocks. And the Maniax were standing at the entrance of the bus. Gasoline dripped down the steps of the bus to the asphalt. One flicker and it would be over...

The vigilante caught sight of ginger hair belonging to Jerome Valeska. Barbara was nowhere to be seen.

"Hold your fire!" Jim ordered a couple of times over the deafening sound of the gunshots.

Lilith couldn't risk using the shuriken stars either because if they caused a single spark, the hostages would die.

Jim and Lilith had to get down when the window of the police car in front of them shattered. Peeking from over the car's door, she got another glimpse of Jerome, he was looking right at her. Jerome waved with a large smile on his lips and a loud cackle escaped his throat.

"We need to move," Lilith told Jim as they kept their heads down. "Those cars parked up ahead. They're our only chance".

Jim peeked at the cars and nodded. When he saw Jerome turn his back to bark orders at the other three men, Jim nudged her to move forward. Jerome only caught sight of movement when they reached the safety of the first car. He turned with a hundred and eighty degree jump and fired his revolver until it was empty. He discarted it with an annoyed expression, which disappeared as soon as it came.

"Light 'em up!" He ordered, his index finger drawing an invisible circle in the air above his head.

Dobkins flickered his lighter next to the gasoline over and over at the same time he saw the others starting to drive away in the oil truck.

Jerome kept his hold on the hoose and waved it around while laughing maniacally, his eyes always trained on the vigilante. "Come and get me!" He said and his lips stretched in a wide smile.

Dobkins paused as he saw the others leaving him behind. He tried again to flicker the lighter, but with no success.

"Get him," Lilith told Jim as she pointed a finger at Dobkins. Meanwhile, she took out a shuriken star from her belt. "I've got Jerome".

Jim nodded and ran to stop Dobkins while Lilith threw her shuriken star at the ginger boy, who was still laughing while patting the hoose loudly on the side of the truck.
