Kaboentle.
"You need to look the part that you are, if your going to be amongst these rich women, make a statement."
She starts as moves back and she stares at my dress and I stare down. She's focused. I know now not to say anything when she's like this so I keep quiet and keep steady. Jabu and I are not friends but she always has my back, I know this because I see how she's always by my side through any and everything without asking.
"Hao Jabu, what's the difference between them and I, from the way I see it were all the same."
She stops fixing my dress and she raises her eyebrow at me and I stare back at her."You're the princess of Bafokeng and now soon to be queen of KZN, need i say more ?"
"I am not queen yet and I am pretty sure that that' seems a bit too far fetched. Besides Siya won't sit on that throne unless Mandla dies or abdicates."
I say as I fix the curls on my weave and I loosen them up.
I'm really glad that I chose to go with this look, I love it."Mmmhm if you say so."
I stop fixing my hair and I stair at her."What's that supposed to mean ?"
"Word in the palace is that Mandla might not even sit on that throne at all."
"Who said that ?"
"The people from the palace."
"Jabu that's hearsay. Non of that is true."
"I know and I told them off."
"What about our staff ?"
"I've kept them in check."
She confidently answers and I only nod my head at her."But if the rumors are true. Are you ready to take on such a huge responsibility ?"
"Jabu, there are way more important things to stress on other than Gumedes throne escapades. I have an NPO that I need to focus on and I have some networking to do. I don't want to stress about unnecessary things and these rumors might not even be true."
I tell her and she goes quiet while my eyes catch the bruise on her wrist.I can see a huge finger prints that wrap around her wrist. For a second I thought that i was seeing something else but this is the second time that I've seen a bruise on her and by the looks of things this one has gotten bigger.
"Jabu..."
I start as my eyes move back up to hers and she looks at her wrist before she quickly conceals."I have to go and finish the childrens mail, Enjoy your tea party."
She ells me before she shuffles out of my room and after a few moments I decide to walk out of my room to Siyas room.I knock a few times and he shouts "come in"
I peak my head inside and I find him with his formal pants on and a blank white T-shirt and just socks on.
He's moving around his room with his brows knitted together almost as if he is looking for something.
"Do you have a minute ?"
"Yeah sure whats up ?"
He asks as he stands in the middle of the room and he stares."I need to talk to you about something."
I tell him as I walk further into the room and he starts to button up his shirt and he stares at me as his brows start to knit together even further so he can read me.
"Are you okay ?"
"I am okay."
I quickly assure and he gives me a mild smile and he nods his head as well.
