Kaboentle.

Bab Gwala walks barefoot inside of the kraal with a red and white traditional shawl wrapped around his waist flailing around his wet horse tail.

He keeps speaking as he does this, to the ancestors I suppose.

I am naked in the middle of a kraal in semi darkness and two buckets of a weird looking substance waits before us.
I look at Siya and he pulls me closer to him as the cold starts to get to me and my skin makes contact with his warm body immediately warming me up.

I place my cheeks against his chest as we watch Bab Gwala continue to walk around the kraal.

He then comes to us and he stands before us and he looks at Siya and he nods his head at me.

"isikhathi sesifikile."
[The time has come.]

He tells me and Siya looks down at me and I stare up at him again. Anxiety coursing out of me.
He nods his head at me and I move away from him and I stand before my bucket.

Bab Gwala dips his horse tail deep inside the bucket and he starts to splatter it on me.

The substance is cold and it smells horrible and I start to shiver even more when the liquid makes contact with my body time and time again while he recites as he asks for passage for the baby from the Gumede ancestors before he finally takes the bucket and he empties it over my head and the water runs down my body and I shiver yet again.

Siya gives me a knowing look before Bab Gwala also turns to him and he does the same.  Splattering first while he recites nd he finally pours the water over him.

I can't explain to you how beautiful this view is.
Him standing there in his raw form, muscles toned abs and all of that, effortlessly handsome as the moon casts down on us as the water cascades down his toned body.

I feel like Bab Gwala can hear all my dirty thinking.
When he's done with Siya he comes back to my side and he wraps his arms around me.

"So what happens now ?"

"We wait."
He simply says.

"For what ?"

"For a sighn."
Bab Gwala answers.

"When you see it, stay still don't move and most importantly don't be scared."
Bab Gwala advices and I nod my head and we continue to stand in our place in the kraal.

A black, yellow eyed panther appears out of nowhere and it starts to move towards us as it keeps direct contact with me. Siya let's me go and he stands with his hands kept at his sides.

It moves closer and closer until its before my legs
It circles around me in a majestic way like it was told to move this way when it's come full circle it moves towards Siya and it rubs the length of its body against him and it finally goes back beyond the kraal and it stands just before the wilderness and it looks back at us one last time, and then it leaves.

Just like that.

"What was that ?"

"Our son."

He answers and Bab Gwala gives us a mild smile.

"Bavumile."
He tells us and my heart fills with nothing but joy and sadness again. My baby is really gone.

It's only been forty eight hours and it still feels like the moment I learned what was happening yesterday morning.

"akufanele nigeze kuze kuphume ilanga kusasa futhi akufanele nihlanganyele ocansini kuze kube yileso sikhathi noma inhlambuluko izobuyiselwa emuva. Siyazwana ?"
