I wake up in the morning bored out of my mind. It's been two days since Lorne left. And nothing interesting has happened. Just boredom. I'm not grounded anymore, but that doesn't make me any less bored.

I stand up from my bed and walk downstairs. I eat some cereal and do the dishes. It's already eleven o'clock when I finish cleaning the kitchen.

Mom and Dad come home from work for lunch, so we go out to eat. When we are finished with our food, Piper and I are dropped off at the mall. Mom isn't all that happy about doing so, because of me being grounded and such, but Dad insists, and even gives Piper an I ten bucks each. I buy a few shirts at Abercrombie and Fitch, than I meet Piper at the front entrance to wait for the bus.

"Camille?"

I turn around, my bags bumping up against my legs. Jax smiles shyly and waves a hand at me. He stands by the door, a coffee in each hand.

"Hey." I say, smiling weakly. "What's up?"

He shrugs. "Nothing really... I guess. What are you doing here?"

"Well, my mom dropped us off, so we went shopping, so now we're waiting for the bus. What about you?" I ask. "What are you doing here waiting for the bus? I thought you could drive." I say confused.

"Well... I can't really drive home without a car." Jax says, walking over to me.

"True." I say, laughing softly under my breath. Stupid. Of course he can't drive without a car! Than I remember what happened at the party. The kiss. My fingers fly up to my lips. They hover just above my bottom lip. I should've told Lorne about the kiss before he left.

The bus drives up, and we step on. I hand the driver the money for the ride, and Piper and I sit near the front. Jax sits a few seats away, and I start to feel awkward. A strange feeling starts to grow in the pit of my stomach. It settles there. Like a large stone that has molded itself to the shape of my insides.

The bus comes to a stop, and Piper and I walk down the aisle and onto the sidewalk. We walk until we reach our neighborhood, than we run the rest of the way to our house. I sit on the couch once we step through the front door, feeling bored again, and stare at the wall.

"Who was that guy on the bus?" Piper asks me, looking up from her phone.

"He's Jax, remember? His brother drove us to school that one day. He was in the passenger seat." My voice sounds far away, as I stare down at my empty hands.

"Oh yeah." Piper says, nodding while she remembers. "When is Lorne coming back?"

"In a month." I sigh, rubbing my eyes.

"Oh." Piper returns to her screen, and types away. I wonder what she does all day on that thing.

"Whatcha doin'?" I ask, sliding across the couch to look over her shoulder. Piper shrugs me away, angling the screen so I can't see. "You but, lemme see." She shakes her head and continues to tap her fingers. I gasp obnoxiously. "Is it a... boy?" Piper looks up. Her blue eyes glare into my brown eyes as she denies it.

"N-no!" She yells. I smirk.

"Yes it is." I say, wriggling my eyebrows.

"You're weird." Piper rolls her eyes and stands. "Good bye freak." She flicks her hair off of her shoulder dramatically, and trumps up the stairs. I laugh mercifully until she slams her bedroom door shut. Mom tells me to go back to my room, and with a huff, I obey, and slump up the stairs.

The next day I wake up, and I really want to go to the pool.

"Oh Mommmmmmmm!" I yell as I leap down the stairs. "Can I go to the pool?"

Don't Go. (EDITING)Where stories live. Discover now
