Part 2: The Date
Lorne arrives at exactly the right time.
He rings the doorbell and I run to the door in my high-waisted light petal pink skater skirt and my tight white crop top with lace around the bottom rim. I open the door and almost gasp.
He stands, a rose in his hand. He wears a navy blue tee-shirt, khakis and grey vans. He grins, his blue eyes glitter with happiness, and his dark hair is brushed up in the front. He bites his lip when he sees me.
"Hi." I say.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." He says. He looks at me for a few seconds, than looks down at the rose in his hand. "Uh... here." He says, handing me the rose. I sit and rub a leave between my thumb and forefinger.
"Thanks. You look really hot too." I say. I said he was hot. I said he was hot. In front of him! Oh god how stupid am I.
He grins.
"So, where are we going?" I ask him. He wraps his arm around my waist and guilds him to a car in the street. It's a skinny grey 2015 Mustang Convertible. I gasp when I see it.
"It's a surprise." Lorne says, smirking. He walks around to the passenger door, and opens it for me. I slide inside, brushing my hands over the brown leather.
"This is amazing Lorne! How did you get one of these? Aren't they super expensive?" I say as he slips into the drivers side.
"I just got my license so my dad had it sent to me. He's coming home tonight. He said that he would get here really late though." He looks to me. "Would you want to stay up with me to see him?"
I gulp. "Of coarse Lorne." I offer a nervous smile. He leans across me, pulling the passenger door open. I slide inside, and Lorne jogs to the drivers side.
He grins. "Great!"
He turns the key in the ignition , and the engine roars to life. I scream in excitement as he revs the engine. He laughs and revs it again.
"This is amazing Lorne!" I scream.
"The fun hasn't even started Camille." He turns and gazing into my eyes. "So we better go so we can fit it all in." He presses his foot on the gas petal and the car moves forward.
My ginger hair flies behind me as we speed quickly down the street. I laugh loudly, my arms in the air, my heart racing as we go faster and faster.
After awhile, Lorne slows down, and we pull into a road with lots of nature.
"Were are we?" I ask.
"A Japanese garden." He says. He steps out, still smiling, and opens my door. I take his outstretched hand and he helps me out. Than I look around.
The scenery is amazing. A large pond with lily pads floating around with yellowish-white flowers growing on their tops. The tree's blossom with pink and white flowers that rain petals down on us as we walk down a trail that goes around the pond.
"I know that I've said this a lot today, but this is amazing Lorne. Really, truly amazing." I say. He holds my hand and I lean into him as we walk.
"Just like you Camille. I wanted today to be special." He says. I feel his lips touch down on the top of my head a few seconds later.
I smile to myself and my stomach fills with warmth.
We walk around for a bit, and find a bench to sit on.
His arms are wrapped around me, I'm leaning into him. I tilt my head up and turn it to the side a bit, and he kisses me softly, one of his hands cupping my cheek and gently rubbing his thumb across my cheek.
