"Akaza-dono!! Come with me," Douma insisted, pulling his arm.

"And why would I do that?" Akaza inquired.

"Because.. because Kokushibo-dono says he needs you for a mission!! So follow me!!" Douma whined.

"What!? You should've just said so!! Lead the way," the stripped demon snapped, immediately following the blond.

Douma skipped happily ahead of him, taking his time—much to the strawberry male's annoyance. After about 10 minutes of walking—or skipping, if you may—they arrived at this field with beautiful plants blooming around them. Although he was confused about this setting, Akaza waited for exactly 69 seconds before saying, "Where is Kokushibo?"

"Kokus?- Oh- Uh.." Douma laughed nervously. "He's not here, why?"

"Will he be here soon?"

"No.. why?"

"You said he had a mission he needed  help with!" Akaza groaned, exhasperated. "Look, if this was your idea of a stupid pra-"

He never got to know whether it had been just a prank or not because suddenly lips were pressed against his, arms wrapping around his shoulders, warmth embracing his body. He froze and it took him a second to realize it was Douma kissing him, pulling him closer. Akaza nearly forgot he had the choice to push the blond back. When he remembered, he brought his arms up to push him away, but his body decided to ignore his mind and he kissed back, his arms wrapping around the demon's neck.

It lasted for 30 seconds, but then the two got nervous and broke apart. Douma looked half proud and half anxious for Akaza's reaction, whilst Upper 3 was internally freaking out. They stared at each other for a solid minute—and by stared at each other, I mean they glared at the ground or the sky—before both spoke up, saying the other's name. They blinked and went quiet again, before Akaza let out a soft laugh and Douma followed, admiring how pretty Akaza's sounded.

"Mm, you go first, what did you want to say?" Akaza said.

"Uhm.. I'm sorry for lying about Kokushibo-dono. I just wanted to.. uh.." Douma faltered and looked away.

"Wanted to what?"

"To go on a date..? Maybe..?" he whispered.

"You.. you what?! Is that what the blanket was for..? And the candles? The scenery?" Akaza said incredulously.

"Yes.. Yes it was," the blond admitted.

"But.. why?"

"Why what?"

"Why do—did, do, I don't know!!—want to go out with me?" Akaza clarified.

"Because.. I like you?"

"You- You do? What? Huh??" Upper 3 had never been so confused in his life before. "You do?!"

"That's.. what I said, no?"

"Well.. I just.. don't understand why. I've been nothing but mean to you- Or is this your twisted way of pleasure?? Masochistic?" Akaza groaned under his breath. "It better not be."

"It's not! I.. uh.. Well, I just like you, Akaza-dono! I know it's that! I've looked around a lot for signs of liking somebody and I asked all my prey before I ate them and nearly all applied to how I feel about you. So.. Akaza-dono.. can you let me take you on this date? Please!!?" Douma pleaded.

"Ugh.. okay.." Akaza mumbled, silently being excited about it.

"Yay! Thank you!" the blond exclaimed, quickly patting down the blanket and lighting the candles. He pulled Akaza down next to him and the two sat there quietly for a minute.

Their blanket was surrounded by grass and trees—many of which were sakura trees—and a river flowed behind them, giving off a peaceful sound. The light from the moon shone above them, framing their bodies perfectly in the scenery. The cherry blossoms floated through the breeze and occasionally landed on their laps.

Akaza picked one up then got an idea. "Turn around," he told the other.

"What?"

"Turn around! Back to me," he demanded.

"Oh okay.." Douma obeyed, turning as Akaza instructed.

"Good.." Akaza brushed out Douma's hair a little with his fingers. "Your hair is so tangled, what the fuck."

"I lost my brush!!"

"It's in your hair.." Akaza rolled his eyes, picking out the comb that was stuck in the mess of blond hair and using it to brush it even as best he could.

"Oh-"

The striped demon got to work, braiding Douma's hair and forming a neat plait. He stuck some of the Sakura blossoms into the braid and smiled. It looked pretty.

"Okay, done!" he said, letting the braid fall against Douma's back.

The blond felt at the braid. "Did you tie my hair up?"

"Yes, you can look in the river for your reflection!"

Douma nodded and bent over to look. He smiled at the plait. "You put flowers in it?"

"Mhm! I thought it would look nice with your hair," Akaza agreed. He went over and sat next to Douma on the grass where they bent over the river.

"I like it, thank you!"

"Your welcome-" Akaza said.

Douma grinned.

"Wha-" Akaza only got half the word out, because he was suddenly pushed into the river. He quickly resurfaced and grabbed Douma's wrist, pulling him down with him. "DOUMA!!" he snapped, although he was laughing.

Douma, who had just popped back up also laughed. "You should've seen your face, Akaza-dono!! It was so funny!!" he said, amused.

"Shut the fuck up! We're all soaked now," Akaza groaned, pulling himself back up.

"Yeah, well.. we can always just use the picnic blanket," the blond suggested.

"Oh yeah. Well I'm using it first!"

"Okay then!"

The striped demon got up and put everything on the blanket down gently, then wrapped it around his body, sitting down on the grass. Douma sat next to him, smiling. They were quiet for a while before Akaza noticed the blond shivering. "Are you cold?"

"A little! Not too much, thou-" He was cut off when Akaza scooped him up into the blanket.

The two sat in a heap of water, bodies, and a blanket, on the grass, under the moonlight, laughing. They looked at each other, smiling.

"This.. wasn't how I expected to go about with my night, but I suppose it's not the worst that could happen," Akaza admitted.

Douma beamed. "Would you like to do this again?"

"Maybe just ask me first and not make me think something urgent came up, though."

"True, sorry."

"It's okay," Akaza nodded, leaning over and kissing Douma gently. "I like you too, you idiot."
