"Mom, I'll stay at Tyun's tonight."
"That's fine I guess. Have had dinner already?"
"Uh yeah, listen Mom, I'm hanging up now, ok? Goodnight."
"Night Kooks."
Jungkook pushed the sliding non-transparent glass door and walked into Taehyun's bedroom, just to meet the piercing questioning sight of his.
The blonde slightly nodded in the affirmative, gesturing that everything was happening as they'd planned. All of a sudden he checked the clock, remembering something important. "Where's your laptop? It's already 8! See?" He raised his phone screen in front of the younger's face, who quickly got up to fetch his laptop.
Finding the device in a matter of ten seconds, the peach-head placed himself on the bed again, opening the laptop. His fingers were moving swiftly upon the keyboard. Jungkook, who was a little doubtful about Taehyun's deed, asked him, "You sure he wouldn't catch us?"
The other's hand stopped on the keyboard and he turned his head to Jungkook's side to make an intense eye contact. Silently, he held it for a few seconds straight, then reassured in a deep voice, "You could trust me."
That reassurance sent a wave of chills down the elder's spine, also, a tingle blossom in his heart. Why the hell such a simple sentence would have such an insane impact?
Maybe I'm just catching a fever lol. He thought and looked back at the laptop screen, which was black, but through the speaker you could hear a faint singing, and the voice definitely belonged to none other than the person they were spying on, Choi Beomgyu.
Fixing his peach locks using his one hand, Taehyun questioned when the two boys would be coming over. The older tried to recall what they had said. "As soon as Beom reaches Yeonjun's, they're gonna sneak out."
All of a sudden, the speaker went silent and then some metal noises. The two males sitting in front of the laptop understood Beomgyu probably had reached Yeonjun's house and was parking the bicycle. And proving them right, they heard a doorbell, and a few seconds later, a familiar voice sang 'hi', which both the boys knew was the person's Beomgyu despised the most.
Why is this boy so stupid?
Taehyun facepalmed himself with a quiet groan when Beomgyu in the speaker answered to Yeonjun with the driest 'hi' ever. Then the other person on the speaker had said something but that wasn't clear to the two boys, as the pitched doorbell echoed through the house, meaning the guys they'd been waiting for were there.
"My choice." Beomgyu's harsh voice rang but currently both of Jungkook and Taehyun were staring at each other, silently telling the other person to fetch the door.
But Taehyun could never ever say no to his darling's pleading doe eyes. Thus, eventually he had to stand up and get the others, Soobin and Huening.
Fuck it ,Jeon. Why did I even fucking fall for you at the first place?---
"Boy, look at me.." Huening forced the over-dramatic pinkish haired male to face him. "Calm down bro, you ain't gonna die!"
"I CAN'T!" Yeonjun, going nuts, exclaimed. "OH MY GOD! HE'S COMING OVER HERE! WHAT AM I GONNA DO!?"
Soobin, who was staring at them from afar with his hands tucked in his pocket, suggested, "Take deep breaths and you'll be okay."
"Yep, he's right. You're literally freaking out." The youngest said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Are you the one who's crushing over a certain someone for 8 damn months now!!?" Yeonjun snapped, removing his pink hairs from his sight. Letting his body fall on the bed with a loud thud, he breathed out a sigh. "I'm gonna die..."
The other two boys just stood their, so done and too exhausted of the eldest's drama. "Listen, if you manage to die tonight, I'll dig a grave for you." Soobin spoke.
Huening bit his inside cheeks to prevent himself from chuckling as he saw Yeonjun staring at the ravenette with a dramatic hurt gaze, lips agape slightly. "I sometimes wonder how am I even friends with y'all."
And at that exact moment, the doorbell cackled, signaling Yeonjun's most desired person, Beomgyu, was there. Huening shot a wink at the pink haired, who slurped his lips, anticipation palpable in him. Gulping, Yeonjun dashed to the front door to get Beomgyu inside.
Soobin looked at Kai, "I owe Beomgyu some for saving me from dying at this young age."
The younger emitted soundless laughter, slapping Soobin's arm playfully twice. "Let's go now or else we gonna run late." He said with his lips widely stretched, walking closer to the back door, through which they were about to sneak out of the house.
And, the reason why they had to sneak out was so simple. Yeonjun wanted to discuss their group project with Beomgyu alone, so what would Soobin and Huening do there?
But the boys also wanted to eavesdrop into Beomgyu and Yeonjun's interaction. And when Huening shared that with his brother Jungkook, the older immediately informed the other that they also had a plan to overhear it and he could come over to Taehyun's with Soobin to do so. And just like they had planned, the duo quickly hopped on their bicycles and almost flew to Taehyun's house in the next block at tsunami's speed.
---
"Hi!" Yeonjun sang with a cheeky smile after he had opened the door widely, but just got a dry 'hi' from Beomgyu as its reply.
"Could've been a bit warmer, you know." He pursed his lips tightly.
"My choice, isn't it?" Beomgyu stated sternly and slightly pushed the other's side making a way for himself to get inside the house.
"Harsh."
"I know. The walnut-head uttered, eyes scanning the whole house.
It wasn't a huge place, not a small one either, but a perfect size to live in, and a decent aroma roaming inside. The living room had a medium sized fireplace, certificates of Yeonjun and some show-pieces decorating the top of it. A set of cream colored couches were spotted, some random books left on one of them hastily. And lastly, there was a wooden tea-table, a mug of already turned cold coffee left on it.
"You wanted to talk about the project?" Beomgyu asked, once he was done looking around.
Just wanted to see you. The other thought, but didn't say it out loud. "Yep, so uhm..-" And he was butted in by Beomgyu.
"The main point is I don't even know what the project is."
"Huh?" Yeonjun couldn't believe what he had heard. "What have you done the whole class?"
"That's not your business I guess. It's better if you'd just tell me the shit I need to get done." The younger stated in his same monotonous tone.
"Fine" Had been all Yeonjun said to that with a pained smile, before leading him inside to his room to explain everything about the work to be done.
