The others slowly pulled away, and so did Jungkook from Taehyun. "I love you Kang Taehyun, and I missed you. So, damn much." His confession came out even before he could abstain himself.
Huening squeaked at that. The other three just smiled, exchanging glimpses with each other.
"Say it again." Taehyun shakily whispered.
"I love you," Jungkook whispered back fondly.
"Once again, please." The peach-haired pleaded, struggling to swallow the reality that he had all along referred to as his unfulfilled wish.
"I love you. And screw me for not realizing that sooner." The blonde chuckled, regretting internally for having held a grudge against the man he loved. He had finally come to realize that pushing Taehyun away would do him no good. Rather, he should have heard it from the younger's point of view, and not acted like an immature teenager.
Taehyun stared at the elder, a mixture of shock and affection in his orbs. His lips slowly broke into a subtle smile. "I love you too. More than anything, anyone, any other soul. I love you so freaking much Jeon Jungkook. Thanks, thank you so much for feeling the same way." His emotional confession diffused into sniffles.
Jungkook embraced him once again, this time snuggling his nose into Taehyun's shoulder. A couple of tears of happiness rolled down soaking the younger's blue hoodie, but neither of them paid a mind. They were more than just being over the moon to have overcome the stupid misunderstandings that came in between them, parting the two dreadfully.
They stayed like that, basking in the softness and scent of each other. At long last, when the two pulled away, not letting a single person breathe a word, the bell creaked. The noise made Taehyun and Jungkook realize that although there weren't many people in the locker room, there still were other students than just the two of them. Turning red in embarrassment, Taehyun uncomfortably inched away from Jungkook, scratching his head.
"That was... beautiful." Beomgyu teasingly wiped a fake tear away, sniffling for exaggeration. It lighted the atmosphere, making the five break into fits of laughter.
But despite the dramatic appearance, the other four (excluding Yeonjun) could spot very evidently how Yeonjun's existence had changed the walnut-head. He had used to barely show emotions, mostly scoffing around the whole day; but now, he seemed a lot more carefree, playful, and expressive than before. And the thing which was a must to be mentioned, Yeonjun had also somehow managed to convert the masculine and harsh outlet of Beomgyu into someone a lot feminine. He now craved attention, pouted more frequently, and sometimes you would find him whining too.
"You lovebirds can stay here. I'ma get to class." Huening seriously stated. "The class monitor shouldn't be late."
Smiling tenderly, Soobin pulled the ravenette for a swift peck. "Let's go, babe." His grin widened as he intertwined fingers with the blushing younger.
As they walked out of the locker room, Yeonjun and Beomgyu immediately excused themselves and departed for their class. Huening and Soobin waited for Taehyun to finish staring at Jungkook as the three had classes in the same corridor but Jungkook in the other way.
Taehyun leaned forward with his head tilted, his chapped lips melting against Jungkook's. It was chaste and passionate. The peach-head pulled away after a few seconds. "See you at lunch." He smiled from ear to ear. Jungkook hummed, sensing butterflies in his stomach that made him turn pink with shyness.
Taehyun was turning around to leave, so he didn't take notice as Jungkook's faint smile abruptly faltered. He had his gaze fixed on the younger's nape, right over the red mark.
