On the same night-
"Hey, boys." There was a knock on the door of Yeonjun's bedroom. It was his mommy, but the next second when the door was swung open after Yeonjun had let out the murmur, 'Come in', Mrs. Choi didn't look that intimidating to Beomgyu today.
She was wearing a wide grin. "Looks like my kids are actually studying." She spoke gently as she ruffled Beomgyu's walnut-colored locks, which was followed by a chuckle.
"Of course. What else do you expect?" Yeonjun cocked a brow at her, looking up from his book.
Beomgyu slyly snorted, which made Mrs. Choi glimpse at him for a split second. "After all, you two are boyfriends." She shrugged her shoulders slyly with a teasing smirk.
The two teens exchanged glances. Beomgyu swallowed thickly, immediately knowing what the woman meant. And as much he tried to get the dirty scenes out of his brain that he was picturing Yeonjun doing to him, his cheeks were unknowingly flushing.
"Seems like you're way too chilled out today." Yeonjun acted as though he was grossed out, but the smirk had laid prominent on his lips even a second ago. "What happened?"
They chatted for a few more minutes before Yeonjun's ma called them down for dinner. The three had a pretty good time, gossiping. Yeonjun's parents were now a lot closer and friendly to Beomgyu, caused of how often he visited his boyfriend's. The same was with Yeonjun about the younger's family. But of course, Yeonjun knew his boyfriend better than his parents. And that was why his lips stretched into a smug smirk as he spotted what was on for dinner tonight. He glimpsed at his boyfriend, whose face went pale in horror.
The dish obviously looked fresh and tasty, to everyone but Beomgyu. He stared at the red tomatoes that peeked from under the other vegetables and ingredients. Urgh, who the fuck even puts tomatoes in their kimchi! Yuck!
Beomgyu swiftly glanced at his lover. Well, it looked like Yeonjun was enjoying that Beomgyu was in trouble. Of course, he couldn't say to the faces of Yeonjun's parents that he didn't eat tomatoes and hated that sour freak. It'd just make him look childish. Thus, Beomgyu thought with terror and pain, that he would be having to swallow all those red tomatoes, for his prestige and relationship's sake. Eww!
But his assumption turned out to be so wrong. It was the moment after Beomgyu had helped himself to the tomato kimchi fried rice, that Yeonjun seized his plate closer to his own. "Hey!" Exclaiming, the younger looked at him in confusion, and so did the two elder women with sly frowns on their faces.
But Yeonjun didn't budge much. He quietly separated the tomatoes from it and forked them down to his plate. A warmth spread across Beomgyu's chest at the soft gesture and he had his gaze down. When his plate was pushed back to his side, he breathed a shy-like 'Thanks.' with slightly heated-up cheeks. They had been together for almost two months now, nonetheless, all of Yeonjun's sweet actions never failed to make the younger feel shy and fluffy.
"Wow." Yeonjun's ma commented with an amused expression, looking at her son and his lover.
The other Mrs. Choi chuckled lightly at the flustered faces of the youngers'. Yeonjun was rubbing his nape and Beomgyu just flashed a pearly yet awkward grin. "Feels like we're in drama. Thai BL ones."
"Well, not my fault that I'm gay." Yeonjun sneered. "I've grown up watching two women in love."
"Then what about me?" Beomgyu asked playfully. "My parents are straight."
"You pro'lly just read BL or Gl Mangas. That's it." The elder thoughtfully remarked and a smack landed on the back of his head.
The two women only watched lovingly how happy their children were. As long as Yeonjun was happy with Beomgyu, they didn't care about anything else. But Mrs. Choi swore to god if Beomgyu chose to break his son's heart in the future...
