"How come you're so excited about some no name singer?" Jimmy asked, his arm loosely slung around Stevie's shoulders.

"I was a no name singer not that long ago." Stevie shrugged, sipping on her drink. "Hey, maybe you'll like them too, make them the next big thing." She joked, to which he scoffed.

"I've got my eyes and ears only for you." Jimmy winked, making Stevie chuckle and then purse her lips for a kiss. "You're the only one that matters."

"Flatterer." Stevie rolled her eyes. "You've already got me into your bed, you can relax now."

Jimmy's expression changed, he suddenly seemed a lot more serious. "I get that we're just kidding around here, but you do know that that's not the reason why I'm saying all these things, right? Like, I care about you a lot. You mean a lot to me." He added, she smiled, lowering her eyes, she gave a weak shrug of her shoulders.

"Well, yeah, but-" Stevie paused as she took another sip. "Who's to say you're not gonna find another one like me and rep-"

"I'm not looking to replace you, Stevie." Jimmy shook his head. They weren't supposed to have a serious conversation tonight. "Music brought us together, but I stayed because of you. I love you." He said, when he realized that she didn't really believe him.

Stevie was silent for a moment. A small smile crossed her lips and she took his hand, she laced their fingers together. "You don't tell me that very often."

"I'm assuming you already know." Jimmy shrugged, his heartrate had slightly increased. What happened to having a fun night together? "I just- I don't like throwing those words around, you know? But I do. We moved in together after two weeks of knowing each other and have been inseparable since. What, you thought I only liked you as a friend?"

Her smile widened, she tilted her chin up to look at him. "I love you, too."

Jimmy pressed a kiss to Stevie's hair and as he was about to say something else, a few rather quiet claps interrupted him and he turned his head towards the tiny stage. He frowned, why does the guy look so familiar? And then he felt Stevie tense up. Some guy, Lindsey, I think, Mike's words echoed in the back of his head.

"Wait... is that-"

Stevie gulped and slowly nodded. "Y-yeah."

"Huh." Jimmy watched Lindsey adjusting his mic before picking up his guitar. "I haven't heard anything about the guy in years. Whatever happened to him?" Unaware of Stevie's inner chaos that had just erupted, he continued speaking. "I was never a big fan of- what was the band called? Fleetwood something."

"Mac." Stevie added. "Fleetwood Mac."

"Right." Jimmy nodded, letting go of Stevie's hand to pick up his drink. "I never really liked the music, but you were pretty big for a bit. He's playing in a bar now?"

Stevie had nothing to say. She didn't know what happened to Lindsey. Yes, Fleetwood Mac had released one album, which became quite popular, but the interest soon faded away after their follow-up record as did the band. The five members stayed in touch for a short while until suddenly they all got too busy with their new projects. Stevie had convinced herself that it just wasn't meant to be for some time, even if she continued writing poems and hoping that people would get to hear them. Then Jimmy came into her life and changed it forever. Ever since then, she hadn't even stopped to think, how her once bandmates were doing. Until now. She had always believed that Lindsey Buckingham was the most talented man she had ever met. While a bit shy about his songwriting, his guitar playing was out of this world. There was no one else like him. So, why was she the one, who made it? Why weren't his songs playing on the radio? Why wasn't he touring the world? Or maybe she was the only person who saw him as someone, who was born to be a rockstar? Maybe she was so in love with him for years that she couldn't see that he wasn't anything special?

"Good evening."

A chill ran down her spine when he spoke up.

"I'm Lindsey Buckingham." He introduced himself, looking a little nervous. "I'm gonna play some of my original songs for you tonight." He added with a shy smile. "I hope you like it."

Her heart beating out of her chest, Stevie waited for Lindsey to fill the room with his incredible sound. She didn't hear a word of what Jimmy was saying to her.
