Matteo Rodriguez

The huge oak door towered over me in the empty hallway as I stopped in front of it. The silence was broken by the dingling sound of the elevator as somebody called it away from this floor.

I took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled to calm my nerves a little. A wide smile has lingered on my face since I've entered the building, and whatever I did, I couldn't stop smiling. I mean, I had the best reasons to smile after all.

I smoothed a small wrinkle away on my oversized white shirt and adjusted my hair, letting a few strands fall in front of my forehead. I exhaled again, lifting up the bouquet of flowers in my right hand while knocking on the door with my left.

Or at least that was the plan. Before I could actually touch the door, however, it suddenly flung open. I found myself standing in front of a chuckling Sofia. Everything happened at once, and for a few seconds I found myself staring silently at her.

"I uhh..." I stuttered while trying to figure out what to start with. "Hi." I decided that greeting her first would be the most logical. She stood in front of me, biting on her lower lip to hide the wide smile that was about to form on her face. She enjoyed messing with me and probably enjoyed the fact that she made talking incredibly hard for me.

"I, uh, brought these for you." I handed the bouquet over to her. Judging based on her expression and the fact that she almost burst out laughing, it was easy to find out that I was very awkward.

"Thank you." She tried her best to remain calm, but the voice crack was audible. We looked at each other for a moment before the both of us started laughing at once. I mean, can you blame me though? I was standing in front of the most beautiful girl in the world, just before I was about to ask her to be my girlfriend.

"I'm sorry." She calmed down a little. "But your face..." She chuckled again.

"Oh, come on, Sofia. I am still getting used to the new circumstances." I shook my head incredulously before tracing my eyes back at her.

"And do you want to continue getting used to them outside, or do you want to come in?" She invited me in after minutes had passed and I was still standing outside. I stepped past the girl into the huge and sparkling apartment.

I waited patiently until she closed the door behind me, and before she could have said anything else, I grabbed her waist and leaned closer. My lips found hers soon enough, and I became completely intoxicated by her.

She melted into my touch as a small moan escaped her lips, encouraging me even further. She let me lead, while she traced her free hand up to the side of my face and neck, leaving goosebumps all around.

After the very last moment before I would not be able to stop anymore, I broke up the kiss and leaned backwards to face the girl. My body ached for more, but I knew that continuing this would only mean one thing, and that is not what I have planned.

"As much as I would love to continue." I cleared my throat, collecting my thoughts while I tried to sober up from the trans she caused. "I have actually planned something else for the two of us for today." My chest buldged out with pride upon seeing how her face lit up.

"I need one more minute, and we can go." She informed me before quickly disappearing upstairs. I turned around in the huge shared floor, standing between the kitchen and the living room. Everything was sparkling clean, and wherever I went, her scent lingered around to my happiness.

A high-pitched sound hit my ears all of a sudden. I snapped my head towards the source of the commotion, right before I heard another high-pitched meow, and Freyja appeared on the kitchen counter out of nowhere.
