So I've been thinking.. Do Monday and Thursday updates sound good to you guys? Simply because of my deadline here in August, I did some math. It should pan out okay if you guys are okay with it!

I awoke to the sun shining through the windows, the same thing that woke me every morning. Most of the glass had been broken after the war, but I specifically asked the blacksmiths to construct me some, and after several days work, we all helped install some large windows on the top floor, my room. That night, I asked everyone to stay with me, and we stayed up eating food and watching the stars. It was one of my favorite memories.
I sat on the edge of my old mattress, blankets scattered around and my single pillow battered from a night of tossing and turning. Nightmares were a normal occurrence, and I didn't bother acknowledging them at this point. Rather I stood, stretching my arms above my head and pulling a shirt over my bare torso. I fixed a few holsters into place, securing the gun under my pillow into place at my side, and the knife on my night stand into my boots that I tied up. I took the mask off my desk, staring into the poker face that it had carved and painted onto it, and then tied it around the back of my head before exiting. I took the elevator down, waiting patiently until I hit the lobby.
A few tables were set out, and everyone was around them, eating whatever the chefs had created for breakfast. It looked like eggs and some bread, a normal thing for breakfast, although my nose scented meat, and I knew one of the pigs had recently been slaughtered.
It was sort of a secret that our little gang had managed to keep livestock in our HQ premises, though rumors were widespread throughout the city. We had a garden as well, plants and whatever we could grow that would feed us. We were well nourished, fed, and meat in a meal that wasn't dinner was quite the treat.
I felt gazes land on me as I swiftly made my way towards the food bar, and loaded up a plate of warm food. It was indeed bacon, and this put a huge smile on my face. The tables, naturally, were separated into the younger ranking members and the older ones, and usually I would sit with the older ones to discuss tactics, but I preferred talking with everyone, and this was a special occasion.
The younger recruits were all talkative, asking me questions as to what I had planned for today, or why I decided to sit with them. These were usually the more thoughtful ones who had ideas, and were the observant ones who could find the roots of rough situations a lot faster. They wondered about a lot of things, their minds wandering to wherever their imaginations took them, for they were younger than most. This brightness, benevolence, innocence, it was what I admired.
The only kindness that I had left was reserved for those of my gang, my family. These people were what mattered to me, and after eating breakfast I went around to make sure that everything was alright with everyone. Before I could accomplish this, though, I took aside the scouts that had been running about from the last few days and logged everything down.
We had a large board that we pinned notes to in case there was anything we needed to keep an eye on, and the silence from the borders of our enemies was something to be kept under consideration. My plans of expanding the neutral ground between us had satisfied all of the other groups but one, and the singled out group had always been jealous of my own. They were never very covert about this, and I chose to ignore it the best that I could.
I logged down about the silence, the oddness of the other group, and their leader Michael who we just called 'M' for short. I was a man about respect, but the derogatory nickname for the malicious neighbor of ours just stuck, and so M was who he became after a while. The scouts were worried, taking their turns in describing how the enemy scouts seemed to be more frequent the more they thought about it, and I calmed them down. After all, useless panic only causes chaos amongst a group.
