Two weeks have passed since writing to Max. I went to check the mail today. There was a letter addressed to Greg. I checked if the envalope had a return address. The envelope had one and it was from Max.i thought that Greg would be happy to hear from his friend again. Once I arrived home, Greg ran up to me. He asked me if there was any mail for him. I told him that there was. I handed the envalope to Greg. He told me that he wanted to read this letter in private before sharing it with me. After he told me this, he walked into our room and closed the door.
While waiting for Greg to share his letter with me, I was just hanging out with Ryliegh. I was just petting him. His reaction to my petting was a whole lot of purring. Ryliegh was purring so loudly that Greg came out of out room to ask me what that sound was. I told him that it was Ryliegh purring. He exclaimed that I must have made Ryliegh really happy to make him purr that loudly.
After Greg said that , I asked him if he was done reading Max's letter. He told me that he was almost finished reading it and he went back into our room to finish reading the letter. A few minutes later, Greg came out of our room. He told me that he wanted to share what Max had to say in the letter. The first thing Greg told me was that Max was really happy to hear from Greg after such a long time. Greg also said that Max was happy that he survived the war and was able to marry. Another thing was that Max was happy that Greg's memories of Max did not fade away. The final thing that Greg shared with me was that Max said that he would be glad to meet up with Greg. Max suggested a place where we could meet. This place is significant to Greg because this is a place where Greg had a huge crash and survived obviously. The place Max was referring to was Fontana, California. This is a trip that is in a planning stage. Max also suggested another place we could meet. Max suggested we should meet up in Milwaukee because that was where Greg had a spectacular win.
Greg asked me to write Max to reply to his letter. He also asked me to tell Max that he would like to meet him in Fontana, California. The reason behind it is that is closer to British Columbia than Milwaukee is. Another reason to go to California is that we would not have to adjust to a time change because California is in the same time zone as British Columbia. In the letterto Max, I wrote all the reasons I talked to Greg about to meet Max in California. I made a remark and asked Max if California had an accent like Tennessee. This time the letter was short. We both signed the letter.
The next morning, I mailed the letter. We will have to be patient and wait for Max's response. It may take up to two weeks for a reply. We will not talk or think about it then it will go faster and get his response sooner. Two weeks have passed, since writing the letter to Max. When I went to check the mail at the mailbox, I was not expecting a letter from Max this fast. There it was in the mailbox an envelope with Greg's name on it. I checked the return address to see who the letter was from. Sure enough, the letter was from Max. I could not wait to show Greg. I walked back home. Once I returned from the mailbox and arrived home, Greg asked me if there was any mail for him. I told him that yes there was then I handed the letter from Max to him. Greg wanted to read it privately first. He went to our room to read the letter. He told me that he would tell me what Max said after he read it first. After a few minutes, Greg walked out of our room with the letter in his hand. I asked him what Max had said. He told me that Max said it was great we wanted to meet up in California. Max also answered my question about how people speak in California. Max said that the people in California sound like people from Canada. When Greg told me this, I was happy because I can understand Canadians just fine.
Greg asked me to write a letter to Max replying to to his letter. I told Greg that it was a good idea and I would get on it. I asked Greg to be with me while I write the letter because I wanted confirmation on how long the trip was going to be. Also when would be a good time to visit California. The last thing would be the weather in California, so we know what to pack when it is time to get ready to leave.
After writing all these things in the letter, Greg and I signed the letter. I told Greg that I would mail the letter in the morning. The next morning I mailed the letter. It will be a couple of weeks before we get a reply. I told Greg that it will be another waiting game for Max's reply. He told me that he knew that. He also told me that he will try his best to stay patient. I told him that I would do the same. The other thing on our minds is the trip to California. Our plan is coming together. Soon we will be on another adventure.
A few weeks have passed, I checked the mailbox, but there was not a letter from Max in the mailbox. I hope there is one soon. Another few days have passed. This time Greg came to the mailbox with me. He decided he needed some fresh air. We brought Ryliegh too. Once we were at the mailbox. I noticed a letter from Max. We started on our way back. Once at home, Greg opened the letter. Max said in the letter that the weather in California was warm. The best time to visit California was in October. The reason being Max exclaimed that it was not too hot. Max told us to pack shorts and t-shirts. Also not to forget the sunscreen either. The final thing Max said was see you in July. We lost track of time while planning our tripto California. It is now the beginning of June. We decided to talk to Max about the trip when he comes foe the race next month. Greg is getting excitedto see his friend again. Not too much longer now
