After a month and a half in Europe, it is nice to finally be in a familiar place. Once we landed in Vancouver, Greg and I were so happy to be home. Once we exited the plane. We had to go to customs. Once at customs, a customs officer checked our passports. After the customs check, we went to get our suitcases. We had our suitcases. Now we are headed towards Arrivals to see if Ric was waiting for us.

Once in arrivals, Greg spotted Ric and was waving his arms to get Ric's attention. When Ric spotted us, he walked towards us. He was so happy to see us that he hugged us both.ric took my suitcase and told me that he would carry it to the car. I thanked him for his kindness. All he said was that I looked tiredand it looked like I could not hold my suitcase much longer.

Once we got out of the airport, we headed to the car. Once at the car, Ric and Greg put the suitcases in the trunk of the car. We were on our way home.

On the drive home, Ric asked us how our trip was. Greg said that our trip went amazing. He said that the trip had some unforgettable moments. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep on the way home from the airport.

Once we arrived home, I jerked awake. Greg helped me into the house. Once in the house, he got me into the bedroom and got sleepwear out of the dresser for me. He told me to put them on and just go to sleep. He told me that he and Ric would take care of the suitcases. I said all right and put my sleepwear on and got into bed.

I do not know how long I slept, but I felt like half a day. Once I awoke, Greg came in the room to check on me. I noticed that our furry helper and friend came in with him. Ryliegh walked and jumped on the bed. I asked Greg when Ryliegh came home. He told me that Ric dropped him off after he brought us home. He went back home to get Ryliegh. Ryliegh was rubbing his face on my arm, so I decided to pet him. He liked it so much that he started to purr. Greg said that he thought Ryliegh missed us by the way he was purring so loudly. I agreed. I told Greg that I thought the same thing.

I got up to go to the living room. When I was walking to the living room, I noticed that Greg emptied the suitcases and put our clothes in the laundry. I also noticed that he found his Royal Canadian Air Force pins and he decided to display them. When I saw the pins, I told Greg that it was a great way to show your time helping your country during the war. He thanked me and told me he felt as though he should embrace that part of the past and cherish what they mean. I told him that was a good idea.

Then I asked him about where he put my childhood teddy bear my mum returned to me, he told me that he put it on the little chair in our room. I told him that I did not notice it was there when I woke up from my nap. He told me that he did not want to wake me, so he put the teddy bear in our room while I was in the living room. I thanked him for being so considerate with not wanting to wake me while I was napping. He said that he did not want to wake me because he could tell I was exhausted and needed some sleep. I kissed him because he is such a caring person. He told me that he would do anything for me because I am his wife and he loves me very much.

It was just nice to be home. We have been away for a long time. I have lost track of time. Both Greg and I are a bit jetlagged from going nine hours ahead to nine hours behind it can confuse your body. I hope that it only takes a few days four our bodies to adjust again. I still feel exhausted. I wonder if Greg feels the same way after cleaning out our suitcases. I hope after a good night sleep that I will feel more like myself. That night, both Greg and I went to sleep earlier than usual because we were very tired from the flight back from Italy.

The next morning, I noticed that I woke up very early morning. When I noticed the time, I went back to sleep for a few more hours. The next time I awoke, the sun was poking through the window. I also noticed that Greg 's side of the bed was empty. I thought that Ryliegh must have woken him up because Ryliegh wanted to be fed.
