Only a few months have passed since the induction ceremony. Greg seems to be in a bit of a haze about it still as he is constantly looking at the certificate he received at the ceremony in the spring. I think that the reality is that it has not sunk in yet. He still cannot believe it has happened. Every time he looks at the certificate he has a huge smile on his face. He constantly tells me how honoured he is. The induction has made him quite happy. He has been in such a happy mood ever since the induction ceremony. I am happy about this because I love when Greg is so happy. I love to see him smile. He has such a handsome smile that lights up the room when he walks in.
Greg is now really excited to find out when the grand opening of his gallery at the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. He constantly wonders when the telephone call would come to let him know when it is. I constantly have to remind him that construction projects take time. Also that putting a gallery together to make it just right also takes time. I tell him to be patient and the telephone call will come when he least expects it. I asked him to repeat what I tell him to be while wanting something to come right away. He told me that I tell him that good things come to those who wait and to be patient. He also told me that he is trying his best to be patient, but it was hard. I told him that I know it is hard to wait for something you really want, but I remind him once again that patients is the key.
It has been nearly a year since the induction ceremony. Greg's birthday is in a few short weeks. I hope that he receives the telephone call that he has been hoping for on his birthday because I believe that it would make his birthday even more special.
Spring has sprung. It is also one month until Greg's birthday. The warmer weather has arrived. Greg is starting to do other things to occupy his mind instead of thinking of the telephone call he is expecting. I am glad to see that he is not hovering around the telephone. I am also glad that Greg is not jumping to answer the telephone whenever it rings because he always thought it was someone from the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum calling about the grand opening of the gallery. Most of the calls he answered were just people trying to sell us products or services that we were not interested to buy. Greg is now walking to get the mail more often than he did in the winter.
It is also that time of year when the flowers start to grow and the leaves on the trees begin to grow again. Also the sounds of spring have returned. The birds begin to sing their beautiful songs again and the squirels awaken out of hibernation. It is also a time for families to gather together to enjoy this beautiful weather and the beautiful signs of spring.
Now Greg's birthday is fast approaching. That means that mine is not far behind. I hope he does not forgety about my birthday as I do not forget about his. I just hope that the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum call soon, so I can plan the outing to BC Place.
Greg's birthday is a few days away. I am hoping that the the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum calls soon because the telephone call would make Greg's day. I also plan to surprise him by having his friends celebrate his birthday with him which is hard this time of year as the racing season has begun.
Today is Greg's birthday. It is still early morning, so I think that the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum would call this afternoon if they call about Greg's gallery at all. Some of Greg's friends maybe coming for a visit. It has been confirmed to me that Dario, Max, Tony, James, Tag, and Patrick will be coming to give Greg the best surprise of his birthday. He does not suspect a thing. He thinks I called his friends about the summer for race weekend.
It is just after luch time. Greg is playing with Ryliegh. He does not expect what will happen tonight when his friends come by unexpectedly for his birthday. He will be so happy. Greg is minding his own business playing with Ryliegh when the telephone rings. This causes Greg to leap off the couch to answer it.
