❝No, Ace. I can't do it," I sob.
"I know you can take more than that, sunshine, come on," he encourages, pummeling into me in fervent motions. "One more for daddy, yeah?" He coaxes in a gruffly voice...

Sitting at the corner of the dimly lit bar, I nurse my whiskey while chatting with my old friend Mike. The ambiance is set by the low hum of voices and the clinking of glasses all around us, making for a relaxed backdrop. Mike leans against the bar, scanning the room before asking.
"So, how's life treating you, Ace?"
"You know, the usual. Work, family, the whole nine yards," I answer and take a sip of my drink, my mind wandering for a moment.
"Work? "How's teaching been going for you lately?" Mike inquiries, raising a brow and my gaze drops to the amber liquid in my glass.
"It's...challenging," I admit. "I've got a student who's been through a lot lately,"
"Ah, that sounds tough. But you always had that soft spot for your students," Mike observes, offering a knowing smile.
"Yeah, well, it's complicated," I respond with a sigh.
As we chat, my mind wanders to Olivia. Our secret affair has been intense, and now everything has fallen apart. I can't stop thinking about how she's coping with the truth—about me being married and soon to be a father. I can't deny the remorse I feel for the pain I've caused her.
"You seem distracted, man," Mike observes, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Just lost in thought, I guess," I clear my throat, forcing a smile.
"Must be some deep thoughts if they're pulling you away from our conversation," Mike chuckles as my fingers trace the rim of my glass, my mind still preoccupied.
"Yeah, you could say that,"
"Care to share?" Mike asks, his curiosity evident and I hesitate for a moment before replying.
"It's about that student I mentioned earlier. She's been through a lot lately, and I can't help but worry about her," I say and Mike arches an eyebrow.
"You're still thinking about a student after work hours? You've really got a soft spot for her, huh?"
"It's not that simple," I sigh, taking another sip of my drink. "Things got...complicated between us," I spill and his eyes narrow.
"Complicated how?" He questions and I hesitate, choosing my words carefully.
"We...had a connection. But I screwed up big time," I confess and Mike's eyes widen, a mischievous grin forming on his face.
"Now you've really piqued my interest. Spill the beans!" He exclaims while clapping his hands and I let out a sigh.
"Alright, fine. I had an affair with a student," I spill and he nearly chokes on his drink as his jaw drops.
"Wait, what!? You're joking, right?" He stammers and I shake my head, feeling guilty and embarrassed.
"I wish I was," I say and Mike burst into laughter, causing a few nearby patrons to glance our way.
