"Arghh! That traveling merchant, how dare he pull such a dirty trick on me!" I protested right after i finished drinking the Joja Cola my friend, Owen Pierce, gave to me. I tossed the now-empty tin can out of frustration, perfectly shooting right at the trash bin.

"Geez Amber chill, what happened to you?" He chuckled. Owen is a close friend of mine since we were just 8yrs old. He is already used to seeing this side of me. We know each other very well that he just always laughs it off everytime he sees me irritated. You see, I really have a bad temper. "You created quite a ruckus outside." Curiosity is evident in his green eyes as he takes a glance at me, probably wondering what made me angry so early at the morning.

"That blue merchant scammed me!" I rummaged in my white traveling bag furiously and soon after, a golden bone toy was fished out of my bag. "He tricked me in to buying this fake item and he ran as soon as i bought this exotic chew toy." I showed the item right in front of my friend's face, eager to prove that it is indeed a fake item.

Owen skeptically picked the exotic chew toy from my hand and examined it carefully. "Fake? Hmmm, the traveling merchant in the blue is the most famous merchant, i don't think a famous person would go around doing something that will destroy their reputation or their business." Owen commented. He then stretched his left hand that was holding my item which, after a few seconds, let the creature living inside come out. "It's not fake, see." My friend beam brightly at the oblivious fennec fox that just came out of its chamber before patting its head, obviously giving the creature a good first impression.

"It's not a fake? Bullsh*t, if it's not a fake, then why did it not attack the slime we encountered earlier?" I immediately countered, recalling the scenario after the interaction with traveling merchant. At that moment, i was very excited to try out the item i just bought and immediately went to the forest only to get disappointed and irritated at the end. The fennec fox just stood there watching the slime without knowing what to do then looking back at me, tilting its head curiously. Not only did it not attack, it even avoided the Slime!

"Amber... Traveling Merchant sell a summon pet not a summon that will fight for you." He face-palmed, his face shows as if he had lost the remaining faith for his dearest friend.

"Wh-What!?" The anger i had a moment ago just instantly vanished and was replaced by embarrassment after realizing my stupidity. "I-i didn't know that!" I caughed sheepishly, trying to reason.

Feeling ashamed, I looked away from my friend's face and tried thinking of a way to change the topic but was already too late as i heard Owen laughed, slapping his knees hysterically. "Stop laughing Owen, it's not even funny!" I smacked him hard at his head, only to receive an "Ow"

My friend stopped laughing as i said so, wiping the tears that had been formed for laughing so hard. "Seriously Amber, you never failed to make my day." He smiled.

"Stop teasing me! I'm not in the mood for that." I glared at him but he just kept smiling which made me even mored frustrated. Like seriously, how can this guy keep smiling seeing a person not in the right mood? I badly wanna smack him again for that but i decided to just let it go as i know that is just the kind of person he is. He is always bright and optimistic which made me even wonder if this guy even get depress or sad. "Seriously tho, I'm not going to buy to that merchant ever again, i wasted 1 Platinum for a useless pet. If i have known that the summon doesn't fight for me then i could have bought something else, a more useful item or maybe stack of food that will be enough to feed me for at least 3 weeks. I don't even know why i bother buying something from that blue merchant, i bet he don't even take a bath considering he always wear the same cloth everytime he comes here." I ranted.

"Gosh Amber, you're so harsh on your pet and to that merchant." Owen just laughed it off as always. "Poor this little fox, your mommy is so harst right, Wendy?" My friend asked the fennec fox who is now being held by Owen like a baby in its mother's arm.
