8. Sister

Past months have been perplexed. After officially becoming the CEO of Kang Corporation, my life has changed to a different level. I will graduate from high school in two months after I become the CEO. They thought I was a genius. As usual, my parents didn't notice.

They're so occupied with my sister's life.

My father tried to talk some sense into me and stop my obsession with becoming the CEO. He thinks I've done something to change my uncle's mind like this. Unfortunately for him, every time he tried to talk, either his uncle showed up or he had to go to work. Our company will doom if I take it over and all the bullshit he thinks I just let him.

Mom tried to call but I've changed my phone number and address.

My dear sister never tried to call or talk. And I prefer that way. Publicly, my identity is not shown. It will cause a huge chaos. I'll remain low-key.

Funny, in my past life, I wanted attention so desperately. Now I dislike it so much.

My uncle asked which university I wanted to attend. In the past, I graduated from Yale and Stanford University because I wanted to show I'm more capable than my sister. I studied really hard there, but my stupid feelings for him took over my brain. And I left my common sense and started chasing after Taehyung.

Since I'm the CEO and already had studied there, I chose to study at Seoul National University. I chose to study business there. I mostly take online courses. My uncle made sure I went to University from time to time. He said It's bad not to stay away from locality.

I moved from my uncle's place as soon as I graduated high school.

Right now I'm in the empty classroom waiting for someone. I wonder where he is. I took a chocolate bar from my bag and started to savour it. So tasty.

I start to scroll my phone. Something caught my attention, an article about them.

My family

A few photos are attached there. My parents looked too proud, big smiles on their faces, and my mother had tears in her eyes. Father and mother look like they have the entire world.

In another picture, my beautiful sister is standing glamorously, with her beautiful, gorgeous attire and a kind smile on her face. My parents are on her left side, proudly looking at their daughter. On her left, Kim Taehyung is looking at her.

My parents never looked at me like that, nor will they, I know, but it hurts. No matter how much I accept it. Taehyung never spared me a single glance, but I loved him with all my heart. A love and obsession for a lifetime is kinda hard to get rid of, no wonder my hurt is still burning. But I won't let those stupid feelings take over me again.

Shaking away those stupid emotions I focus on my chocolate.

"Hey, I'm back. Wait, what are you eating without me, huh?" A sudden voice of his out of nowhere made me a bit shocked.

"A chocolate? Again? Dude, how do you always eat and eat all types of food but never gain weight?" he asked the millionth time since we met.

I gave him a black look to which he shook his head.

"Come, let's have lunch, I'm starving mannn. Gotta eat and yeah, you are paying, today is your turn," he said as he took my hand and started to drag me outside the classroom.

"Don't eat so fast you will choke, you idiot. " I scolded him.

"I haven't eaten since yesterday, dude. I'm really starving," he said, shoving meat in his mouth.

"Why?" I asked

"Work, study, work, didn't have the time," he sighs.

"No one is taking your food Rowan Hayes," I said calmly. Both of us are foodie one of the few things common between us.
