33. Difference

Sipping her hot coffee, sitting on a limited edition couch,  she blankly stares in front of her where her sister is sitting uncomfortably. She is nervous under her younger sister's gaze. Honestly, y/n isn’t trying to dominate her sister. It's just her natural self, which is too cold considering Roseanne. 

Y/n has come to her grandparents' house. She hasn’t visited them in a while so she had to make time for them. Also, whenever she feels like she needs some love and pampering,d she will go to her grandparents' house.  Y/n was sleeping peacefully since it was Sunday. She woke up late.  When she came to eat, she saw her grandma and grandpa had prepared so many foods for her, all her favourites. 

They waited for her, even though she was late, they wanted to eat with their granddaughter, which made y/n scold them. She told them they shouldn’t stay hungry for them or they could have just woke her up. 

But they just said they wanted to let her rest and have their breakfast with her. Y/n is not surprised anymore because that's how they have always treated her. In the middle of their breakfast, someone pressed the doorbell. 

" I'll see. " y/n's grandpa said as he went to open the door. 

Y/n's grandma is insisting on feeding her like always, but she refused, saying she is grown up now. 

"Hello, grandmother.. oh, I see you have a guest -wait, y/n?" Roseanne was shocked 

She never thought y/n could be here. She sometimes visits her grandparents, but only when she or her parents need something. Like inviting them on special occasions or a family event. According to her parents, it would start a controversy if their own parents weren't there.

She never knew y/n was this close to them to have breakfast on Sunday together like a family. 

She saw how much their grandparents love her. Every time they look at y/n, Rose can see a genuine, happy smile on their face, which is rare for her. Some uncomfortable feeling crept inside her. 

It's not like their grandparents don’t love Rose. They like her, but Rose is not y/n who genuinely cares for them. She only comes when she pleases, she comes on behalf of her parents when they need something. But y/n is not like that. 

Rose saw how they were busy feeding y/n, they made her food and continuously insisted that she eat more, otherwise she would fall sick. 

Rose again felt those uncomfortable feelings. 

Her mom only tells her to eat healthy food and salads. She also wanted to eat like a normal person whatever she likes. But her mom always tells her she needs to maintain her perfect figure, otherwise she would become ugly and fat like y/n was before.

"Rose have breakfast with us." Grandpa said 

"No, I've already eaten. You guys continue." she politely refused 

"Oh, have a seat then. "

"Y/n, your grandpa made your favourite soup taste it dear," Grandma said sweetly while her grandpa proudly handed her soup, waiting for their precious granddaughter to taste. Completely forgetting Rose who is observing them carefully. 

For the first time Roseanne felt ignored. They have completely forgotten that she is also there. Rose is not used to it. Why are her grandparents acting like y/n is a small child that needs to be pampered? 

After breakfast 

"Y-y/n you come here then why don't you visit home?" Rose asked nervously, trying to look at y/n, who was sipping her coffee. 

Hearing her stupid question, y/n raised her eyebrow. Is she serious?  

"That's your home." y/n simply shrugs off. Rose closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. It was stupid of her even ask this question.

"Are you close to Tae Sumi? " she again asked, fiddling her fingers, avoiding  her sister's sharp eyes.

Y/n hummed sipping her coffee and checking some papers. She needs to finish them today. 

"How d-did you become close?" Rose asked 

"Why are you so interested in me suddenly?" y/n was getting irritated but didn’t show 

"L-look we are sisters and we are supposed to "Oh my sister dearest finally remember she has a sister huh?"  y/n snicker

Y/n was irritated, she came here for a peaceful day and was doing her work peacefully  , but Rose decided it was okay to play sister-sister after years and start introgression. 

"Look y-y/n I only-"

"Rose, why did you come here?"Grandpa interrupt her. He has noticed his elder granddaughter for a while. 

"Huh.. No I just wanted to visit. I heard grandma was not in good health so -"

"It was three months ago, and don't worry, y/n, and I took care of her. Now tell me what my son wants from me? " he asked with a strict tone which Roseanne had never seen before. 

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry grandma I was just busy I couldn’t come-"

"It's okay, dear." Grandma tried to give a polite smile, but it came more like a forced one. Rose felt again those feelings that made her too upset. 

"I'll go. I'm sorry if I made you all upset," she said and ran away from there.

When these two sisters were born, people might have treated them differently. All of this started when their birth parents started to treat one like a princess and the other like a fucking nobody. Their grandparents   have seen both of them grow up;  they loved them equally from the start, as normal grandparents would do. They were so upset by their own son and daughter-in-law because of how differently they treated y/n from Roseanne.

 So, they tried to look after y/n more so she would feel less shity and realise that none of this was her fault. But y/n was felt with venom who pushed them away brutally. But then y/n changed, she accepted her reality, improved herself, and became the woman she is today. But Roseanne didn’t, nor did their son and daughter-in-law.  

Y/n has accepted her grandparents and gives them love and respect, which they deserve. They have seen her fight against the world alone. She still stands tall and faces every challenge thrown her way. Despite everything, her love for her grandparents never faded. She loves them genuinely, she cares for them. 

On the other hand, they thought that at least Rose would be kind to y/n cause thats how she is, her image is, but she is just like her father, selfish. 

She only comes to see her grandparents when they need something. She acts all kind and fragile, like she never knew anything wrong, but her grandparents are no kids, they can see she is more selfish and cruel to y/n. She desperately wants all the love and attention to herself and keeps y/n out of anything good. The kind of sister she is. 

"Looks like your old buddy has finally recognised you." Y/n whispers to Jungkook with a small smirk. 

Another day of work at Kim manufacturers where Kim Taehyung would glare at Jungkook and try to make conversation with her. 

But today, the way Hoseok was giving Jungkook looks, it's pretty obvious that he has finally realised who Jungkook is. Y/n was kinda waiting for this day to come. She was curious to see how Jungkook would handle this matter. Shewantst to see his growth by herself.
