36. Green eyes

"Oh! Y/n look who's here, Roseanne your dear elder sister." Hoseok said with a sly smirk. 

Oh! How much he loved the situation. A snake like him could easily read the room. 

Y/n who used to chase after Kim Taehyung who never acknowledged her presence and is also engaged to her elder sister Roseanne. Rose who is a great actress but the reaction she gave when her eyes landed on Jungkook, Hoseok caught it immediately even though Rose changed her expression in a blink of eye. Then Jungkook, who always roams around her younger sister, is not only showing interest in her, but also her own fiancé is now showing interest in her younger sister. 

"Hi y/n, Taehyung." Rose said nervously. The situation is overwhelming for her. 

"Did you wait for long?" Taehyung asked coming closer to her. 

"N-no I just came. I didn’t know you were also here y/n," she said looking between y/n and Jungkook. 

"Ah, I had work here." she replied 

"Jungkook, this is Roseanne, my elder sister, and Taehyung is her fiancé. You probably know by now, still." y/n introduce Jungkook to her sister and again remind both males that Taehyung is her sister's fiancé, nothing more. 

Taehyung clenched his jaw.

"Hello, Mrs Kang." Jungkook greeted formally. 

"Nice to meet y-you Mr.Jeon." Rose greet back, a pang in her chest as Jungkook talked so formally to her. 

Did he not recognise her?

"We will be off then Mr.Jeon, y/n," Taehyung said and went off with Roseanne, who was still thinking why he didn’t recognise her. 

Hoseok followed them with a sly smirk. He looked at Rose and smirked 

Looks like I found a bait.

He gave one last look to y/n and Jungkook before getting out of there. 

"What's your plan now y/n." Jungkook asked as they walked towards the exit. 

"My friends are coming to my house for a sleepover. What about you?" 

Jungkook sighed and replied, "The same daily boring routine: do some work, eat, work out, take a bath, sleep." 

"Don't you have anyone to accompany you?" she asked carefully, trying not to hurt him with her straightforward questions. 

"Nope, I don’t have a friend like you,, butyeah, ah, I have a dog. He is my family, my friend and the sole heir of my Wealth." Jungkook joked trying not to make the atmosphere dull. He is not like this he wouldn’t say anything personal or express his true feelings infront of anyone like this. 

But in front of this girl, he spoke whatever his heart wanted without thinking twice.

Y/n chuckled at his word. 

Indeed she felt bad for him but she appreciate how he didn’t lie or ignore her question. Infact he said whatever comes from his heart. 

He even tried to lift up her mood. 

He is not the whiny kid like before. 

Jeon boy has grown up. 

"Umm, you want to join us then?  I'm sure my friends won't mind if you bring your pretty dog over," she invited for the first time anyone  to her house.
