"What? That suicidal boy? He is now what?" Rowan Hayes looks like he will have a cardiac arrest.
Such a drama queen.
"Eat properly, do not act like this in front of others." I scold him. I had some errands to run in this area, and after finishing, those, I came to his office. His employees were gawking at me. They might be thinking what kind of trouble I have gotten into for which I had to personally come here.
Rowan told them before we were friends, but they have a hard time believing it cause our characters are opposites.
When I came here, I saw a co-CEO of a big company with a girl. This rich spoiled brat has gotten herself into trouble, and her CEO father sends his men to wrap it up. High-profile cases brought a lot of profit and fame. Rowan Hayes is currently giving a neck-to-neck competition to South Korea's best law firm, Law Vision. If this continues, then in two or three years he will be at the top. But I'm afraid that Law Vision's CEO will start to play dirty. I know this old man hates to lose. He focuses mainly on high-profile cases involving politicians, celebrities, or any rich people who don’t want their dirty deeds to be out.
"Did you do a background check on him. I mean, he is not your business, I know, but general research, you know." Rowan said Shake my head no. Actually, I want to know, but I wanted to hear it from his mouth.
"Can you check the basic details and send me?" I asked to which he nodded, eating his food.
"Why do you want to work with Taehyung? Is it that profitable?" he asked carefully. He just wanted to ask if I was emotionally okay with it.
"Huge. I have a meeting in one hour, I'll be off now." I said and nodded, bidding me bye.
I have an investor meeting at Kim manufacturers with another investor in that project. We three companies will start to work together from now on.
"Y/n, thank you for investing." Kim Taehyung said softly. His secretary and team members are discussing about the project terms. Another investor hasn’t come yet. After he comes, we will start to work on this together.
"Your project plan is perfect and profitable, Mr Kim. Of course, anyone will be delighted to do it," I said calmly
"Please call me Taehyung," he said. If it were my past life, I would be overjoyed, but now it's different. But I would lie if this doesn’t affect me at all.
"It's not professional," I told him. It looks like he was about to argue on this, but the door opened again, and a man held the door, and another walked towards us, taking all the attention in the room.
To my surprise It's none other than Jeon Jungkook.
Jungkook wore a black three-piece suit, his hands in his pockets. His whole aura screams dominance and power just like my uncle Sean. His aura steals attention from everyone. His secretary and team walk behind him. But when I met him yesterday, he was completely different from Jungkook. I guess this is how Jungkook carry himself professionally. Very impressive, he shouldn’t let his guard down.
His green eyes fall on me. He looked taken aback for a second, but he recovered quickly without anyone's notice. A small smirk appears on my lips. Well, now this is gonna be interesting because Jung Hoseok is looking at him, and he is dazzled. I'm sure when he first saw him at the meeting yesterday, he didn’t mind his presence, but today Jeon boy might seem familiar to him.
Jungkook came forward, standing in his full glory in front of Taehyung, and his team Jung Hoseok is right beside Taehyung. Jungkook ignore him by the way. He took his hand out to shake Taehyung's hand, "Mr Kim, I'm Jeon Jungkook."
"Kim Taehyung. I believe we met before but didn’t have the proper introduction. I'm looking forward to working with you." Kim Taehyung said in his deep voice shaking his hand with Jungkook. When Jungkook attended an investors meeting, Min Yoongi and Taehyung's secretary greeted him formally.
The atmosphere is kinda awkward now with these two alpha male trying to speed up their dominance. All of our team members are looking nervous. When two dominant males step into the same room, one's nature is known, but the other is mysterious. They do not have bad blood, but two dominant men can see each other as threats.
On the other hand, Hoseok looks confused, he even remembers him after knowing his name. I guess this jerk still hasn’t realised he used to make his poor guy's life hell at school. He had so many victims, so I guess he is having a hard time remembering this guy in front of him. Especially those who were poor and weak, who would never dare to look at his eyes, were his favourite victims.
Jungkook came and took the empty seat beside me. I'm sitting exactly opposite of Kim Taehyung, on my left is my secretary and on my right is Jungkook.
"Hello y/n." Jungkook greets
"Hi, Jeon. You keep surprising me." I told him in a teasing tone.
"Sorry, but did you meet before?" Jung Hoseok inspected, his eyes darting between and nd meme.
"Yah," I replied curtly. From the corner of my eye, I saw Taehyung's jaw clenched. I don’t understand what his problem is.
Anyway, I just hope I'll be there when Hoseok recognises Jungkook. His face will be worth watching.
"So, we'll start now." Min Yoongi said he and Taehyung's team would start to explain.
When the meeting was over, Kim Taehyung was again about to say something, but Jungkook spoke beside me, "Y/n, if you are not busy, have lunch with me."
"Okay, but I decide the place," I said and Jungkook nodded.
Kim Taehyung looks like he has seen a ghost or what, why is he gawking at us like that and we're not even talking loudly. This man definitely has a staring problem.
"Yuta go with the team," I ordered and he nodded
I started to walk, and Jungkook followed me after dismissing his secretary and team. This gonna start a rumor like it happened when they saw Rowan with me. But I really don't care. They can all bark behind my back, none of them has the balls to say that to my face anyway.
"You keep surprising me Jeon boy," I said playfully. For some reason, I feel really comfortable with his presence. I think that's because I've known him for a long time.
Jungkook chuckles, his dominant aura is nowhere to be seen. Or maybe I'm too much used to it. I always deal with men like this here and there.
"Take me to an Italian restaurant. I miss Italian food," he said softly, walking beside me out of this company.
