Y/n's P.O.V
"Good, you're getting better." Macaque said, dodging my attack."I don't know whether to take that as a compliment or sarcasm." I swung my spear at him.
"You could take it as both, you never know with me." He smirked, swinging his staff at me.
I jumped out of the way. "Yeah yeah, I know, so anything interesting happen to you today?"
"Nothing much just got mistaken for Monkey King to be a judge on some cooking show." He shrugged.
"Pfft, hahaha!" I busted out laughing.
"Hey! Stop that! It's not funny!" He shouted angrily.
"It's a little funny." I snickered.
"Go ahead, laugh it up." He scoffed.
"Oh, don't get grumpy, I was only laughing." I pat his shoulder.
"Yeah...anyways, how's MK been doing?" He asked me.
"Not good, ever since Wukong left, he's been stressing himself out, and..." I paused myself.
"And what?" Macaque raised a brow.
"Shh." I shushed him. "My mother senses are tingling."
"How does that even work?" He removed my hand from his mouth.
I quickly bolt out of Macaque's dojo, finding myself in an alleyway.
I look to see MK get jumped on by the Speedy Panda delivery drivers.
"Ahem!" I crossed my arms, glaring at the bunch.
The drivers turned to me.
"It's one thing to serve horrible food, but hurting my baby boy is too far." I gripped my spear tightly.
"Mom, you're here, help!" MK shouts.
"Don't worry, baby, Momma's got this!" I jumped in the air, my spear raised above my head.
_______________________________________Back at Pigsy's Noodles, I held an ice-pack to MK's swollen face.
"Oh, I had it up to here with those Speedy Panda delivery brickheads! They've been sabotaging me all week!" MK shouts.
"Those punks with their flash frozen microwave junk! Convenience can never replace a traditional home-cooked family recipe." Pigsy growls, ranting on about Speedy Panda.
"Yeah, but they do, do it quicker." MK spoke, making Pigsy glare at him.
"MK, baby, choose your next words carefully." I told him.
"All I'm saying is maybe you could afford to pick up the pace." MK finally says.
"Too late."
"Pick up the pace? You're the one delivery driver! You pick up the pace! Every noodle from Pigsy's Noodle Shop is handcrafted from scratch with love, care. It's what our customers have come to expect." Pigsy snaps at him.
"Don't worry about me, Pigsy. I'm a loyal customer." Tang says.
"More like a loyal freeloader." Pigsy rolls his eyes, causing Tang to gasp in offense at his words.
I sighed, rubbing my glasses clean. "I hate to agree Pigsy, but if this keeps up, we're gonna be run out of business."
"Ah, none of you get it. I poured my heart into this place. From the pots, to the utensils, even my grandmother's antique windows." Pigsy gestured to the windows.
All of a sudden, a brick with a note, crashed through the windows.
Tang picked up the note, reading it. "Hmm. "Attention: Pigsy's Noodles. Prepare for your worst nightmare! We challenge you to Food Wars to determine which restaurant truly reigns supreme. Signed, Speedy Panda."
