When he roared awake the next night, Brooklyn felt most refreshed. He didn't feel in pain anymore. When his eyes returned to normal, he saw the doctors in front of his cage.
"Nice to see you are awake again." The one in charge declared. "We came to see how your wound is."
Brooklyn now sat up. "Stay away from me!" He growled.
The men saw he was able to move normally. The threads that had been in his skin fell away. They saw the flesh was healed. "Wow! You sure heal fast." The doc complimented.
"That's just my stone sleep." Brook replied.
"Fascinating." Another stated.
"Now that I'm better, how about letting me go?" Brooklyn declared.
"Oh no, no. You aren't going anywhere. There's still more tests I need to do on you." The main doctor proclaimed.
"Like what?" The red gargoyle asked. He didn't want to be told he couldn't go home. He had a feeling he wasn't going to like what these tests were.
"Tests at the beginning of this new section of your life to see what you can tolerate." Was the reply. "One test per night. And don't expect your clan to find you anytime soon. We are in a separate facility from the main office this time."
"From whose office?" Brooklyn demanded.
"Do you remember when you were taken to the place where the Illuminati took you?" The doc asked.
Brooklyn's eyes widened. "You're Illuminati?" he asked nervously.
"Yes, we are."
"What is it you want from me?" Brook demanded.
"To see how you are compared to humans. Your kind are much like us and yet, so animalistic." The doc continued. "And you will also supply us with something special to study in the coming months."
"You humans are sick to do this to me, or my kind just because you want to find out that information." Brooklyn insulted the doctor.
"Just for that, you'll get this!" The doc pressed a button on a remote and that was when Brooklyn yelped in pain when he felt a shock and burning on his wrists where the shackles were.
It went on for over five minutes. "AHHH! Stop it please!" Brooklyn cried out. His wrists were stinging with pain from the burning. He tried grabbing at them and trying to get the cuffs off, but it was no use. They were locked on tight.
"That's what will happen if you cross me, Monster." The doc warned him. "But I could always arrange for something else."
Brook's eyes glowed from the pain. He rubbed his wrists as much as he could anyway.
The doc then pressed another button in his pocket and it was the release of the embryos inside the gargoyle's belly. It was just the beginning of that.
Brooklyn was then escorted to his first test, a heating and cooling room. He would always have his arms cuffed behind him on escorts. He didn't want to be in here. He remembered doing this before. He still had the cuffs on but started sweating really bad when exposed to the extreme heat. He got nauseated again just from that. His head also started hurting.
"Why do you have to do this?!" Brooklyn raised his voice.
"To see what a gargoyle tolerates."
Then the room got really cold. Steam came out of Brooklyn's mouth as he panted. He wrapped his arms around himself and shivered. He also wrapped his wings around himself to add for better warmth. He was left in the cold for a lot longer. The sweat he had gotten was making him feel the cold even worse. He tried to wrap himself in a ball to maintain his temperature.
