Demona still flew around the city at night for a little while to check things out and sometimes see her daughter. There were also some things that she would need to get for her business that she just couldn't get in daylight hours. In the morning hours, Demona would also sleep too before her job as a human started up before her transformation woke her up too.

Ever since she had saved Brooklyn for the second time during his pregnancy, she wondered what the baby looked like, or the egg that she thought he had been carrying, since gargoyles were only ever born from eggs.

Demona flew to the castle one night to see how things were going for Brooklyn. He would have had the egg by now, she thought to herself. She knew there was only one way for him to have given birth to it, by open belly surgery.

As she skimmed the outdoor areas and didn't see any of the clan, she wondered if she would make it to the rookery to see if there was an egg incubating. Cameras picked up on her presence.

David and Fox were out on an event date tonight. The twins were in with Alex asleep. The clan was all out on patrol, even Bronx. Hudson had taken him to the park for exercise. Brooklyn and Jayden were the only ones at home. They were having their own dinner date at the moment.

Brooklyn and Jayden both wore the earphones again. Owen phoned in to them just then. "Brooklyn, Jayden, we have a problem." He declared.

"What sort of problem?" Brooklyn asked.

"Demona is here." Owen replied.

"Alright, thanks." The red male declared. "Let's go."

Jayden got up and followed her boyfriend. She had heard about Demona but had never met her yet. Jayden had also started her training lessons too. She was coming along fast.

Demona went down to the rookery and looking around, it was warm and damp in there, but there was no sign of any eggs. "Brooklyn had to have been putting me on." She growled. Then she left the rookery. The clan sure was hiding the baby good.

She went on a mission to find the baby around the castle. But when she entered into near the nursery area, that was when she bumped into Brooklyn and Jayden. They were guarding the entrance to that place to make sure she didn't go any further.

"What are you doing here, Demona?!" Brooklyn snapped at her, furiously. "Angela's not here right now."

"I didn't come looking for my daughter this time, Brooklyn." Then her eyes widened at the sight of the female gargoyle next to Brooklyn. "And who is this? I thought I knew every last remaining gargoyle."

"I'm Jayden." Jayden spoke up, then Brooklyn pushed her behind him.

"Never mind her. What do you want?" Brook demanded again.

"Ever since the last time I saved you for the second time, Brooklyn, awhile back, I wanted to come to see you and the results of what you said." Demona glanced downward on him. "And I see you look much thinner now."

"Yeah, that's right. It wasn't going to last forever." Brook growled at her.

"When are you going to let go that grudge against me, Brooklyn?" Demona asked in a bored way. "I came to see your baby or egg."

"I'll never let you see my child." Brooklyn growled. "You don't need to see it. It's none of your business."

"I saved your life twice during your pregnancy. And I never once tried to harm you." Demona declared.

"That still doesn't clarify what you did many times before." Brooklyn argued. "Either go, or I might attack you now." His eyes started to glow. He got into a battle stance.
