A few weeks later, Brooklyn still hadn't been found by his clan and he was bored most nights in his cell. The main relief he had from boredom was eating the food he was offered. No one dared to talk to him unless they were going to do something bad.

The humans still demanded that he eat way more than what his stomach could hold. Brooklyn felt like he would puke before he was done eating every time. He probably wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to make him fat.

Eventually, it was time for another exam and Brooklyn resisted again. He knew that when the doc and his men wanted to examine him, it wasn't good.

Once he was on the table tied down again, he looked around frantically, a shiver going down his spine. A chill also went through his belly. Brooklyn knew that the doc was rather obsessive with his belly. Why? He didn't know.

A machine was brought over, and his loincloth was pushed downward just enough before some slimy, cold gel was applied onto Brooklyn's stomach. "AGH! What is that stuff?!" He yelled.

"Nothing that will hurt you, just makes this exam easier." The tech replied before applying the wand onto the gel. The screen was turned away from the patient. The tech was going to make sure there was something in there.

Brooklyn was tired of this place. He was tired of experiment tests and most of all, having his stomach examined or pressed on. The doc had given him one explanation but not the whole explanation of why his belly was such a big target to examine.

He tried to move about to keep the tech from seeing what he wanted to see. "Hold still now." But Brooklyn refused to cooperate.

The doc came up and he put a hand on one of his ears, pulling on it hard, making Brook cry out. "Hold still or I'll really hurt it." He growled.

Brooklyn had no choice. He continued to feel the wand being pushed into his belly, making him wince.

The tech was now looking at a miracle. There, inside the red gargoyle's belly, was an embryo. He smiled. Then he moved to the other side, looking for another. He found the second embryo too. They were no more than little blobs inside dark spots in their womb.

But it was also a question of when Brooklyn would ever get sickness symptoms like a lot of pregnant women did. The doc hoped he did. He hoped for the gargoyle to have stomach issues.

When the tech was done with the scanning part, he wiped the gel off roughly, making Brook clench his belly. Then he told the boss quietly, "The two embryos have made it so far, but there can't be anymore x-rays now that they have taken." The tech warned the doctor.

"That's fine. Thank you, Tech." The doc said. "I don't plan of having him take anymore x-rays. Just ultrasounds."

For Brooklyn, he didn't know what that exam was all about, but he wanted to get away from this dreadful place. He was tired of being bored all the time or whether he was going to be killed in this place soon. The doc had told him himself.

Back at the Eyrie Building, the clan had had to move on with things, but they wouldn't stop looking for their red Second in Command.

Angela told Broadway if Brooklyn was never found that maybe when they had a son that they could name him after Brooklyn. Broadway liked that idea. He still loved his red brother and would do it in his memory. But that was still a long time off yet. But it was a plan if he wasn't found.

Brooklyn would have always been Lexington's closest companion in size. They had a special bond as rookery brothers since Broadway now had Angela for company, but he still did a lot of babysitting for young Alex.
