"Emily"

I enjoy my alone time as I stock up the items on the shelves.

"Dominic!"

I turn to see my manager and a new co-worker walking beside her.

I sigh.

Another rookie.

"This is Emily, she's new here, I'm assigning her over to you," my manager said then left.

I stop stocking the selves and turn towards Emily. Emily looks quite mature with her blonde hair in a ponytail and her sharp brown eyes.

"Hi, I'm Dominic."

"Yeah I know," Emily said.

A rude one. That's just perfect...

"So, I'll be the one showing you around. Have any questions just ask."

I walk around showing Emily the store, explaining everything.

"This is the snacks," I said showing her the snacks.

Emily just stares at them.

She hasn't had any questions so far.

"Hey, do you ever plan on quitting?" Emily said.

"Quitting?"

"Yeah, like quit."

I take a second to think. "Nah."

Emily sigh. "Too bad. I know a way to make quick cash."

Quick cash?

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, you don't wanna know. You're too busy carrying boxes and filling shelves."

I chuckle. "You're gonna be doing the same."

"Nah, I quit."

Emily takes off her work shirt revealing a white tee and starts to leave.

And I just watch her leave.

Interesting someone would just start a job just to quit.

"Hey, so tell me about this quick cash," I said after chasing after her.

"Do you really wanna know?"

"Yes."

Emily stops walking and pulls out a small card. "Go to this address at six o'clock and you'll make a quick buck."

I look at the card and see an address.

Emily makes her exit but before she goes she says, "Also, work on that smile of yours. I saw you helping those customers."

Did she see me?
